Financial aid is available from a variety of sources for college and career school.
Financial aid comes in the form of scholarships, grants, work-studies, and low-interest loans.
Types of Financial AidScholarship- money for college that you will not be expected to repay. (Merit-based)
Grant- money for college that you will not be expected to repay. (Need-based)
Work-study- a work program through which you earn money to help you pay for school.
Low-interest loan- borrowed money for college or career school; you must repay your loans, with interest.

State Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship
Scholarship Deadline to apply: February 01, 2015Requirements: 32 on the ACT or 1410 on the SAT, and a 3.50 academic grade point average, or those who are named National Merit Finalists or National Achievement Scholar. Award:
It pays tuition, mandatory fees, room and board up to $10,000 per year.
State Governor’s Scholars Program
Scholarship Deadline to apply: February 01, 2015Requirements: At least a 27 ACT or a 3.5 GPA to apply. Award:
$4000 per year.
State Higher Education Opportunities Grant (GO! Grant)
Scholarship Deadline to apply: June 01, 2015Requirements: Must meet income requirements, FAFSA Required.Award:
Up to $500 per semester.
