What is the Annual Fund?

“I support the Annual Fund because I believe in the mission of the school. I am confident that I would not be where I am today had it not been for Notre Dame. I think that all girls should have a fair chance to be a part of the Notre Dame experience.”

Julie Eidson Deno ‘01

The Annual Fund at Notre Dame High School is the “cornerstone” of our fundraising activities. It supports our mission of providing outstanding Catholic education to young women from diverse backgrounds, and it is the most direct way for alumnae, parents, friends, and family to support Notre Dame High School. Donations made to the Annual Fund will be used exclusively for this year’s operating costs, including: Tuition Assistance Student Life, Activities, and Programs Retreat Experiences Facilities Management Faculty and Staff Professional Development

Why are Annual Fund gifts important? We want to keep our tuition as affordable as possible so that a Notre Dame education is within reach for every young girl. Like nearly all Catholic high schools, this means that our tuition does not cover the full cost of a Notre Dame education. The difference between tuition and the full cost of education is called “the gap.”

This year, our tuition covers just 90% of the cost of a Notre Dame education, creating a “gap” of $1,200 per student. This gap must be covered through our various fundraising activities, including the Annual Fund Appeal.

2014-2015 Tuition: $11,000Total Cost to Educate a Student: $12,200

Difference/Gap: ($1,200)

How can I make a donation? You can make a donation by completing the enclosed envelope. You can also make a donation on our website, www.ndhs.net.
