Corieon Pearson led Union with 30 points while Jordan Montgomery added 11. Ronnie Mack led UAH with 20 points and Greg Gardner had 16 points. The game was close all the way with Union clinging to a one point lead with five seconds leſt. Shorter missed on a 15-foot aempt at a game-winning shot, giving Union the win. Marterrace Brock led the way with 24 points. Jordan Montgomery added 15 points while Corieon Pearson and Felipa Rocha scored 13 points each. Union now advances to the semifinals of the conference tournament in their first year of postseason play in the GSC and NCAA DII. Top seeded Alabama Huntsville awaits Union. Union lost at UAH just two weeks ago, 75-74. Corieon Pearson was Union’s representave on the 2015 Gulf South Conference postseason honors list. Pearson earned first team All-GSC honors. Pearson leads Union with 18.3 points per game and ranks second in the GSC. Marterrace Brock ranks No. 6 in the GSC scoring race with 17.4 points per game. Ashan Day is fiſth in the GSC with 8.0 rebounds per game. Union’s Brock has had the hot hand as of late. He has posted 20-plus points in his last two games to lead the Bulldogs to wins both mes. Rocha’s 13 points at Shorter was the most in his two years at Union since he scored 17 versus North Alabama as a freshman. Union is looking to connue their run in the conference tournament, while also improving their posion in the region standings. The Bulldogs are currently ranked no. 6 in the latest NCAA Dvision II South Region rankings and are “on the bubble” to make it into the region tournament next weekend.
