Naples Garden Club
Annual Meeting and Spring Luncheon
Royal Poinciana Golf Club
April 10, 2014
WELCOME:
President Linda LaRue Brown welcomed the 93 Naples Garden Club members to the Annual Meeting and Spring Luncheon. Linda began by thanking Judy Perkins and Joyce Alfieri for planning the delightful afternoon. Joyce Alfieri provided the wonderful centerpieces on the tables. (She also created the fun black & pink hats for the NFS Preview Party as well.)
Patrick McDonald and the wonderful staff at Royal Poinciana were congratulated for providing such a lovely dining experience. Susie Yoder was thanked for sponsoring the NGC luncheon at the Club. Fifi MacMahon was wished a very Happy Birthday upon celebrating this occasion with us.
Melinda Earle has been the very loyal and diligent chair of our Facilities Operations for many years. She is stepping down this year for a well-deserved rest and more time to create her award winning floral designs and go on her shoots. Melinda was presented with a beautiful bouquet in appreciation for all her years given to our club
Peggy Blackburn will be stepping down from her Treasurer’s job at the end of May. Peggy has been our eyes and ears financially for three years putting in many hours that no one is ever aware of. Peggy was the one who took our bookkeeping system from a cash system to an accrual system after she took over. This was a huge undertaking and we all owe her a debt (no pun
intended) of gratitude. Peggy was the recipient of a lovely Presentation Bouquet.
Linda Brown then turned the meeting over to Immediate Past President, Sondra Quinn, who installed the new members of our Board of Directors.
