Many Four-Leaf Clovers
Many four-leaf clovers and endless skies of blue,
I’m wishing these and health and happiness for yours and
you.
May St. Patrick’s Day bring all you’re hoping for, and where
you find a rainbow may you find many more.
May the Good Lord bless you richly all of your days, and
touch your life in many beautiful ways.
Irish Toast
May you be poor in misfortune
Rich in blessings
Slow to make enemies
Quick to make friends
But rich or poor,
Quick or slow,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward!
Wishing you the luck of the Irish and a Happy St Patrick’s
Day!

There is an old Irish saying.
There are good ships and there are wood ships that
sail the sea.
But the best ships are friendships, and may they
always be.
It is also a time to share an old friendship and maybe
make a new friend.
Please stop by the Clubhouse and check out the
bulletin board and see the fun things we have to offer.
What are you waiting for?
On Sunday, March 16th, there will be a Fun Day,
outdoor all day event. Check inside this newsletter for
more details.

Women’s Club
On February 5th, 64 ladies met in the Clubhouse for a short meeting followed by the Fashion show.
The Minutes of February and the Treasurer's report were read and
approved. Nothing special were reported by the other
committees.
Carol Whitbeck of the Gardening Committee put beautiful flowers
near the Pool. Thanks Carol.
Mary Bolin of the Charity Committee received “Thank You”
letters from the people we helped. Next month we should have a
speaker on Cancer.
We celebrated the birthdays of February, Jeanne Bittman was the
only one present. Tanya Hahn gave 4 bags of Avon Products to be
raffled.
I want to thank everyone who helped with the set up for the
meeting. A special thanks to Dot Cady who was in charge of the
fashion Show and working with “Bonworth” where all the clothes
modeled were from. Thanks also to all the models who were,
Mary Jean Barber, Pat Clayton, Peggy Elkins, Phyllis Fisher,
Nancy Jones, Nancy McCallan, and Carol Quandt. They were like
professionals. Thanks also To Harvey Barber who helped the
models to go up and off the stage.
Then the moment that everyone was waiting for the raffle of one
free month of rent.
The lucky ticket was pulled out by the hostess of Bon worth and
it was ALICE BARSTOW. Congratulations to the happy winner.
After we had coffee and cake and we closed the meeting.
Thanks,
Marielle
Card bingo (not like regular bingo)
March 23rd, 6pm
Chairpeople, Burt & Sandy Case
Well we played this game for the first time on Sunday, Jan 26th and we had 35
people to play. There was money won and such an easy game with no thinking.
Everyone can play this game and you don’t have to be a card player to conquer
this one.
The last game was like a jackpot and you can win from $3.50 to $10.00 or more
per game depending on the number of people playing. This last game everyone
had to put in 3 dimes each and with 35 people the total was $10.50. Each game
is different and sometimes you put in a dime and sometimes 2 dimes.
Our caller was Kathy Tabor from Grove Ridge and she kept you laughing and
interacted with the crowd and it made it for a pleasant evening and it only last
an hour, not like some of our games. We told her she was hired!!!!
Come and join us once a month thru April and bring $2.00 in dimes and a deck
of cards for 4 people . Date will be listed on the last page of the newsletter.
Thanks, Burt & Sandy,

ANNUAL RECYCLE DINNER
March 22 (4 – 6pm)
It’s that time of year again to thank all of you who place their paper and
cans in back in the RV section behind Brahman Drive.
Southfork’s annual recycle appreciation party will be held at the
clubhouse on Saturday, March 22th. All Southfork residents are
welcome to enjoy an evening of food and fellowship. We will be serving
Hamburgs, Hotdogs, Soft drinks, Ice Cream and Cake with sugar free ice
cream available.
A must is required for a sign-up so we know how many to expect and
buy food for. So please come and enjoy the friendship of neighbors
and friends and this is our way of thanking everyone for placing their
cans and paper for recycling in the bins and this also helps to defer any
costs incurred during the year!

The Yeary’s Music Show
“The Sweethearts of Branson”
Monday, March 31st @ 7pm
Ticket prices at $7.00 per person
Denny Yeary and Shelia Renee have waited twenty years to perform for us.
Your toes will wiggle when Denny’s bass voice hits you, then, your heart will
melt when Shelia sings in her classy southern style.
Together, they are the Sweethearts of Branson.
MAH JONGG
MAH JONGG was first played by the ruling class of China and dates back to the
time of Confucius. The ancient game was introduced to this country in 1920.
The original game was enthusiastically received by the American public. It
is played with 152 tiles. The object of the game is to form a winning hand
of 14 tiles, matching "set" hands which have been established by the National
Mahjongg League.
Observing a game being played is the first step to learning to play.
After watching for a couple hands, you will be ready to play. Four players
are the ideal number for playing. Anyone who would be interested in joining
us on Friday afternoon, give me a call at 352-567-7605.
Carol Barnett...

GAMES IN SOUTHFORK
Is it possible that all people who are in charge of any game activity here in Southfork please
send me info so that I can start placing this info in the newsletter. This is for all the newer
people who have moved into the park in the last year or so and do not know or understand
many of the games held here…..
I will start with this game we play weekly and so easy and a lot of fun. It starts out with 3
cards and each session within the game keeps increasing by one card until you are holding
upwards to 13 cards. Once this last game of 13 cards is played then we start the 2nd game
The name of the game is “65” . Here is all you need to play for the evening:
Saturday’s , 6:45pm. 2 games are played and you need 22 nickels & 2 dimes for the night.
Contact: Marielle Quain for any questions.
So , come join us on a Saturday evening and we are usually done around 9pm.
