Join us at the entertainment stage for a wide variety of great music. Look out for aliens! Nezbit Blue is joining us again this year. We are also excited to announce Obediah Thomas will be creating great street entertainment with his stilt walking and magic. The Space Lady will be enchanting visitors with her show. Something truly unique this year is the Austin Bike Zoo. Their unique creations on bicycles is sure to wow the crowd. Look for these entertainers in the parade as well! Be a hero! Speaker BiographiesThomas J. Carey UFO Researcher/Investigator Thomas J. Carey, a native Philadelphian, holds degrees from Temple University (B.S. in Business Administration) and California State University, Sacramento (M.A. in Anthropology), and also attended the University of Toronto in its Ph.D. Programme in Anthropology. An Air Force veteran who held a Top Secret/Crypto clearance, Tom is now a retired Philadelphia area businessman. He has been a Mutual UFO Network (MUFON)

State Section Director for Southeastern Pennsylvania from 1986 to 2001, a Special Investigator for the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies [CUFOS] from 1991 to 2001, and a member of the CUFOS board of directors from 1997 to 2001. Tom began investigating aspects of the Roswell Incident in 1991 for the Roswell investigative team of Kevin Randle and Don Schmitt, and since 1998 has teamed exclusively with Don Schmitt to continue a proactive investigation of the case. Tom has authored or coauthored more than 40 published articles about the Roswell events of 1947, and has contributed to a number of books on the subject as well. He has appeared as a guest on many radio and TV shows throughout the country, including Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell and George Noory, Fox and Friends, Comcast Network Friends and Larry King Live! and has contributed to a number of Roswell-related documentaries - on-screen and behind the scenes. Tom was a consultant and interviewee on the highly acclaimed and rated 2002, two-hour SyFy Channel documentary, The Roswell Crash: Startling New Evidence, the History Channel’s Conspiracy Theory, the Travel Channel’s Weird Travels - Roswell, the SyFy Channel’s SyFy Investigates and the History Channel’s, The UFO Hunters. He was also a featured interviewee on the 20th Century Fox, Golden Anniversary, re-release DVD of the 1951 sci-fi classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still. His 2007 book, co-authored with Don Schmitt, Witness to Roswell: Unmasking the 60-Year Cover-Up, was the #1 best-selling UFO book in the world in 2007-2008. Its sequel, Witness to Roswell: Unmasking the Government’s Biggest Cover-Up, published 2009, still remains a best seller. Stanton T. Friedman Nuclear Physicist-Author-Lecturer Stanton T. Friedman received his BSc. and MSc. Degrees in physics from the University of Chicago in 1955 and 1956. He was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist by such companies as GE, GM, Westinghouse, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, and McDonnell-Douglas Astronautics working in such highly advanced, classified, eventually cancelled programs

as nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and various compact nuclear power-plants for space and terrestrial applications. He became interested in UFOs in 1958, and since 1967 has

lectured about flying saucers at more than 600 colleges and 100 professional groups in all 50 U.S. states, all 10 Canadian provinces and 18 other countries.. He has published more than 90 UFO papers and has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs including on Larry King in 1997, 2007 and twice in 2008, and many documentaries. Larry Holcombe Larry Holcombe’s introduction into the world of Ufology came in the late 1950’s after reading two of Major Donald Keyhoe’s books; Flying Saucers are Real and Flying Saucers from Outer Space. A year later, after watching Keyhoe debate an Air Force officer on the old Armstrong Circle Theater, and seeing Keyhoe being censored when he deviated from the prepared script the Air Force forced on the show’s producers, Larry was convinced the Air Force was covering up knowledge of flying

Great River Disclosure, a thriller based on the government cover-up of an extraterrestrial presence visiting earth. In researching background for the novels he became intrigued by a 1970’s NBC-TV documentary, UFOS: Past, Present & Future. Larry was able to locate the writer/co-producer of the documentary, Bob Emenegger, and Emenegger provided him with some remarkable background information on the making of the documentary that involved the Nixon Administration. Frank Kimbler Frank Kimbler is an Assistant Professor of the Earth Science at the New Mexico Military Institute. He is a relatively new researcher in the field of UFO studies but has made some interesting physical trace discoveries related to the 1947 Roswell event. He has worked as a professional geologist for more than 30 years and has taught school for almost 1/2 of that time. He has worked as an oceanographer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and

as a mining engineer for the State of Arizona. He moved to New Mexico in 2009 after accepting a teaching position at the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell. Shortly after moving to Roswell he took a keen interest in the story behind the Roswell UFO incident. His research has resulted in the discovery of a number of physical artifacts from the Roswell UFO debris field area including metallic fragments, plastic, 1940’s military metal buttons, a 50-caliber bullet (WW2 era ?) and aerial photographic evidence of disturbed ground in and around the debris field. Sharon King Sharon King has been an early childhood Teacher, Program Coordinator & a Director in child care centers for over 26 years. Jesse Marcel Jr. Jesse Marcel Jr. joined the US Navy in 1962 and was assigned to the USS Renville (APA 227) and shortly thereafter participated in the Cuban Missile Crisis attached to combat units as member of ship’s company. The Renville then sailed for West Pac and then to the South East Pacific Area where he participated in combat training in case of enemy attack on the ship. After the West Pac tour, Jessie completed his specialty training in

Otolaryngology at the Naval Hospital, San Diego, California. He then retired from the Navy in July of 1971 and entered private practice in Helena, Montana. Jessie joined the Montana Army National Guard in 1973, went through helicopter flight training as a flight surgeon at Ft. Rucker, Alabama earning his wings in 1981. During his career in the National Guard, Jessie was appointed State Surgeon of the State of Montana and retired from the military the second time in August of 1996 on his 60th birthday. The Iraqi war required his being called back to active duty in October of 2004 shortly after his 68th birthday. Jesse then served as a flight surgeon for the 189th Attack Helicopter Battalion flying 225 hrs of combat while in country being discharged again from active duty in December of 2005 to the Ready Reserve. Pre-med undergraduate work was accomplished at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and he attended LSU School of Medicine at New Orleans, Louisiana graduating July of 1961 earning a degree in medicine. Thomas Reed Thomas Reed is an award winning South Beach fashion photographer, and the founder of Miami Models, w/clients: Polo Black Label, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren. He held positions in upper management with companies, Honeywell and Entergy. The historic UFO case of the Reed Family, was assigned a Vallee classification of “CE4” (close encounter of the 4th kind), with a Case Category

of 3 (physical evidence). The case has many layers and is deeply entwined and remains one of a few CE4 cases to be mentioned within the walls of the United Nations. The history involves Marian Burrows, grandmother, Nancy Reed, mother, and the two brothers, Thom and Matthew. The evidence in this case would include a significant amount of radiation, and strong magnetic fields, and is one of a few to have been collected and documented by those in law enforcement. The Reed encounters date back to June of 1954, with Marian and Nancy, while in a cabin at Moosehead Lake, Maine. The boys, Thom and Matthew had their first encounter, in September of 1966, while on their horse farm in Sheffield, Massachusetts. The second encounter on the Reed’s horse farm came the following year in the fall of 1967. This encounter involved the entire family. The family’s final encounter, and one that would cause them to sell their home and restaurant, the “Village Green”, and relocate, took place in September of 1969. Nancy, Marian, Thom and Matthew, were driving home following a horse show, at about 8:00 at night, when they observed what Marian referred to as a bright “floating strip mall” above the left side of the station wagon. What can only be described as some sort of energy running through the body was felt by the family before their car began to stall and coast to the right side of the road. Only the sounds of stones tapping under the fender walls of their car were heard, followed by a dead silence. A barometric change in pressure was felt before triggering a deafening eruption of katydids and crickets. The family has collectively been able to reconstruct and piece together much of that night in September of 1969 aboard the vessel. With that said, many have asked what the beings looked like, that were seen by the Reeds, and there has been a lot of speculation on the terminology. The best way to describe what was witnessed would be a genetically engineered or manufactured

intelligent insect-type being with some human characteristics, such as hands, that would stand and vary from three to five feet in height. Several of Thom’s childhood sketches from 1969, depicting what he witnessed first-hand involving his encounters, are displayed at the Roswell UFO Museum. It should be noted that the crafts that landed on the Reed’s property were also seen by numerous members of the community and their children. Thom was not the only child to draw renderings, as many of the children penciled what they had seen, which also hung next to Thom’s, beneath the chalk board in his fourth grade classroom. By the 1980’s, Thom’s father, Attorney Howard Reed, PhD, was in local office and had met Attorney Robert Bletchman and several others with political ties and aspirations. On October 2, 1992, the Reed’s case would assist their personal attorney’s efforts, (Robert Bletchman) by adding credible and corroborated testimony, to include the Reeds’ statements on the barometric change in pressure, electromagnetic “vibe”, calming state, and the manipulation of gravity, which was voiced by Robert at the United Nations Symposium. The objective of the Symposium was to introduce substantiated cases to motivate the U.N. to reconsider 33/426. (33/426 references an establishment of an agency or a dept. of the U. N. for undertaking, coordinating and disseminating the results of research into unidentified flying objects.). This came 10 days before NASA began SETI’s Microwave Observing Project (MOP/HRMS). Thomas comes from a grounded and well respected family in New England, and is the son of Dr. Howard Reed, a college professor and attorney, who also served the community on the Canaan Board of Selectmen. Howard was also strongly supported by Senator Christopher Dodd, in his run for office. In the fall of 2006, and soon after voicing his upcoming book project on the family’s experiences with vessels and other life forms, to include a compilation of sensitive material gathered over the years as well as referencing many of Robert Bletchman’s notes and research, Howard suffered an untimely death on the same day, October 2nd, 14 years after the United Nations Symposium on October 2nd, 1992.The CDC, on sweeping Howard’s office, reported finding a vial containing the deadly virus in his air conditioning unit. The building was closed and remains closed to this day. Oct. 6th was then proclaimed a day of remembrance in Howard’s honor, by the City of Bridgeport, CT. A Ph.D. who released his test results regarding the Reed case after evaluating family members, on September 15, 2010, was also found dead on November 12th, 2010, just eight weeks later.

Robin Scott TrioThe Robin Scott Trio has over 100 yrs of combined experience playing live Funk, Blues, and Rock. Members of the band have shared the stage with top notch musicians such as Dave Krusen(Pearl Jam), Christopher Thorn(Blind Melon,Unified Theory, Luma), Brad Smith (Unified Theory, Blind Melon, Abandoned Jalopy), Chris Duarte, and Sid Woolfolk to name a few. Andrew Cone of the Roswell Daily Record says, “Every once in a while, a new band comes along that just blows you away in its unbridled greatness. The Robin Scott Trio is a paragon.”

Amy LaVereAmy LaVere was born in Louisiana and moved around as a GM brat (“Dad moved around to open factories”), and the family eventually settled near Detroit, at least everyone but her father, who continued to travel for work. The family structure eventually gave way. She and her sister rebelled, and one of the ways Amy did so was by joining a band at age 14. Rebellion is still a potent theme for her, and she continues to defy and test love’s constraints, adding to the body count of the last album (“Killing Him”) with “Red Banks,” a sly turn on the blues/country yarn where the girl usually ends up getting it in the end. In “Damn Love Song,” she finally writes the love song that her lover has longed for, but it’s practically spit at him as she is walking out the door. “You Can’t Keep Me” is a insolent pop song that warns that she won’t be held captive in her relationship as a building cacophony of horns and Theremin joyously celebrate her imminent freedom.

James Douglas ShowThe James Douglas Show (The JDS) brings a vibrant fusion of their signature “Funk-n-Soul-n-Rock & Roll” flavor to stages everywhere. Known for their outlandish performances, over the top wardrobe, and seasoned musicianship, the band is dead serious about one thing when the lights go on, and that’s entertaining the crowd. After a recent showcase performance at the Sunset Sessions Convention in Las Vegas, a prominent music manager described the JDS performance as, “The circus just came to town.”

Cosmic Sucker PunchWhen your band is called Cosmic Suckerpunch, you had better be prepared to back that name up with some pounding, stellar rock and roll. Good thing songwriter Ari Welkom and company deliver on spacey licks and heady songs, rooted in blues and funk, and indebted to imaginative fantasy rock music in the spirit of Led Zeppelin. With a driving rhythm, Cosmic Suckerpunch has invaded the L.A. scene, and with their self-released debut, Good Morning, the band plans on waking up the rest of us with a primal scream.

Joe West and the Santa Fe RevueIn 2011, with the help of producer and music guru Arne Bey, Joe created The Santa Fe Revue which performed for sell out crowds and even earned the dubious honor of headlining the 2012 UFO Festival in Roswell, New Mexico. Joe’s music has been used extensively in film and TV production, most notably the Emmy Award winning documentary, SPLIT ESTATE, the feature film CONSPIRACY starring Val Kilmer and most recently, Joe created music for an independent feature, DEATH AND TAXES, by cult movie producer Peter McCarthy (SID AND NANCY, REPO MAN).

The Party BandA true party band. These talented musicians are also a local favorite and play a wide variety of music from rock to western, TexMex to pop. You can dance to just about anything they play!

Tom Blake TrioThe Tom Blake Trio has been together for eight years. The group focuses on acoustic harmony vocals and plays music from the 70’s rock to 80’s to current country harmony. They are one of Roswell’s favorite groups.

Obediah Thomas Obediah Thomas has 20 years experience as a professional comic and juggler. He is also a skilled trumpet player and vocalist with a BA degree from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Obediah has also performed

internationally from Hong Kong to Chicago and has been an opening act from Kiss to Tony Bennett. He was a frequentguest-performing artist on the Bozo’s Super Sunday television show. Obediah will be stilt-walking, juggling and more, all while involving and entertaining a crowd!

The Space Lady Getting her start in street entertainment on the streets of Boston, this musician returns to Roswell with her own flair that has made her extremely popular. Look for her around the downtown area.
