Courses flagged with two asterisks are scheduled to be replaced by new course numbers in 2013. Please contact an enrolment officer if you have any queries.

Contact Durack if you miss the application closing date, as there may still be some places available after the official enrolment period in July 2013. Entrance Requirements Each qualification (except bridging and entry courses) has a set of entrance requirements that you must meet before your application will be considered. Entrance requirements are the lowest level of academic results you require to be allowed entry into a full-time course at the Institute. Entrance requirements will be either a lower level qualification OR expressed in terms of levels of communication skills or a combination of communication and maths skills. The level of communication and maths skills required for entry to a course will be measured according to the following scale:

• basic skills •• developed skills ••• well-developed skills •••• highly-developed skills

These indicators will be mapped back to levels attained at school or other forms of evidence. Full details are available on the Training WA website: www.trainingwa.wa.gov.au Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Also known as Skills Recognition. Have you already got some of the skills and knowledge related to the course you’re interested in? RPL involves an assessment by a registered training organisation to see if your skills and knowledge meet today’s industry standards. It doesn’t matter how, when or where the learning occurred; the assessment will take into account your current skill levels and how much you already know. This means that based on RPL, you don’t have to re-learn what you already know, and you will find out exactly what training you have to do to achieve your qualification. Contact Us @ Client Services Durack has career development advisors who are available for advice and individual consultations.
