Dear Subscriber, The pillars of next season’s programming are showcases for three very different but equally fascinating opera heroines: Violetta Valery in La Traviata, Angelina in La Cenerentola and Salome in Salome. We’ll open the season in January with one of the most beloved operas in the world, Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata, his portrayal of the ‘fallen woman,’ who finds true love, yet sacrifices her own happiness at the urging of her beloved’s father for the sake of his family. Carried along by some of Verdi’s most beautiful melodies, this emotional drama is a heartbreaker in the best operatic fashion, leaving you moved and exhilarated at once. In February, we’ll present to you a hilarious comedy, showcasing the most acrobatic and sparkling vocal fireworks and situational humor with Rossini’s La Cenerentola, the feisty Italian version of Cinderella. In March, you’ll be fascinated and shocked in equal parts with Richard Strauss’ Salome, one of literature’s most fascinating and deranged characters, based on Oscar Wilde’s play. Strauss’ captivating score combines instrumental psychological commentary with dramatic explosions – a vocal, orchestral and theatrical tour de force including the famous Dance of the Seven Veils! In addition to these great operatic works at the Kravis Center, we’re planning a fully staged Young Artist Production at Lynn University in Boca Raton in a new collaboration with the Conservatory of Music, an Outdoor Opera Concert at the Meyer Amphitheater on the Waterfront in West Palm Beach – free to the public, so that everyone can experience opera while enjoying a picnic – as well as Gala Recital in Palm Beach and One Opera in One Hour presentations at the Harriet Himmel Theater. Secure your seats for this season full of operatic splendor as early as you can, tickets are sure to go fast for this crowd-pleasing season! Dear Subscriber,

The pillars of next season’s programming are showcases for three very different but equally fascinating opera heroines: Violetta Valery in La Traviata, Angelina in La Cenerentola and Salome in Salome.

Thank you for your continued patronage and I’ll see you at the opera!
