Page 2: 2013 RCC Golf Tournament

Our Head CoachOver the past 22 years, Head Coach Dennis Rogers has built one of the top community college baseball programs in the nation . Riverside City College (RCC) Baseball has attained a level of success few community college baseball programs can match, including winning a fourth California State Championship in nine years in 2007, three consecutive state titles

in 2000, 2001 and 2002, and the promotion of its players into premier Division 1, 2, 3 and NAIA college baseball programs around the country .

Our nationally recognized baseball program provides players the opportunity to develop and refine their skills under the watchful eye of one of the nation’s best teachers and mentors . Coach Rogers served as a professional manager for the Oakland A’s organization at their Single A-Rookie Ball affiliate in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to this assignment, Coach Rogers was a field coordinator and Double A manager for the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.

We hope you are able to join us on Monday, January 28, 2013, to enjoy a day of golf and interaction with our program’s former and current players, as well as coaching staff . Thank you in advance!

This Year’s Goal

With your support of our student-athletes, we hope to raise enough money to enhance our baseball facility at the Samuel C . Evans Sports Complex here in Riverside .

• We wish to continue raising funds to replace our original 20-year-old scoreboard with a new state-of-the-art scoreboard provided by Daktronics .

• Furnish our new clubhouse .• Update our baseball

equipment .

Program GoalsRiverside City College’s baseball team is a non-scholarship collegiate athletic program composed of dedicated student-athletes . The program places a strong emphasis on personal responsibility with each of its players . We expect our student-athletes to conduct themselves with the dedication, dignity, and professionalism necessary to achieve their goals in the classroom and on the baseball field.

It is no coincidence that RCC Baseball to date has seen 100 of its players receive their bachelor’s degree and 78 of them play professional baseball . Currently, there are 20 former RCC players still active throughout the minor leagues, including seven players in the major leagues . These accomplishments easily make RCC Baseball one of the most respected and organized community college baseball programs in the country .
