Creates a statewide planning & mapping system for public facilities to assist first responders during an emergency event
GOHSEP has acquired a computer based system called Virtual Louisiana which provides access to required data for first responders in accordance with HB 34
GOHSEP Regional Coordinators are assisting local emergency management with the coordination & collection of school building plans
Virtual Louisiana currently contains school plans for seven parishes

Training & Exercises
Exercise will validate the State of Louisiana emergency response plan & serve as a training opportunity for state response partners
Exercise will incorporate key state agencies affiliated with search & rescue & evacuation operations
Exercise will publicly demonstrate combined capabilities to synchronize emergency response functions
Training sites include: Fontainebleau State Park, St. Tammany Parish, Grand Prairie, St. Landry Parish & Belle Chase, Plaquemines Parish
