Post Oak’s National Night Out Luau was featured in the Hays Free Press this year. Event’s chair and co-chair, Deborah Lovell and Ginger Sanchez respectively, did an outstanding job pulling together our best community event to date. The ladies raised over $7k in raffle giveaways, including a helicopter ride over the city of Kyle. Thank you for all your hard work and congratulations to an event well planned!

We need Volunteers!
Post Oak went through some major changes in 2012. We have a new national builder, DR Horton, who is actively building and selling homes in our community. Unfortunately, we no longer have board officers and our committee membership has dwindled. We understand that everyone is busy. Active participation in our community is vital to its prosperity. Being a volunteer doesn’t have to be time consuming; it can be fun and bring out the leader in you. Email [email protected] if you’re interested in one of the following committees. Or let us know if there is something missing that you’re interested in pursuing!

Combine all dry ingredients in a small bowl. Stirring constantly, slowly add enough of the water to make a thin paste. Pour into pan and add rest of water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Stir in tomato sauce. Experiment to suit your taste, but don't leave out the cocoa!

As many of you know, last year Tobias sent a newsletter home the last day of school stating that HaysCISD would no longer provide bus transportation to Post Oak students. We could only assume it was because a stoplight had been installed at Lox and FM 150 E.
Almost immediately, Post Oak began an investigation in regards to the decision made by the HaysCISD Board of Trustees. The matter was resolved rather quickly and we were informed by Tim Savoy, HaysCISD’s Public Information Officer, that after further investigation, instigated by Post Oak, HaysCISD would continue bus transportation. What he failed to mention is that it would only be continued for the 2012-2013 school year.
