Title: Hellfire Pass Description: On 15 June 1941 Operation Battleaxe began with British troops

marching for Halfaya Pass. At 0600, without waiting for artillery support,

Major C.G. Miles ordered his tanks to advance through the soft sand and

attack the pass, directly into the teeth of German and Italian anti-tank guns.

Unable to make any progress against the dug-in Axis troops and with their

path blocked by wrecked Matildas the British were forced to retreat, using

their remaining tanks to cover their withdrawal. The carnage and casualties received during the attack led the British to call this the Battle of Hell Fire

Pass. Can you do things better than Major Miles did?

Game Duration: 5 hours.

GM/Contact: Stephen Phenow (818) 281-5481 sfp55 (AT) aol (DOT) com

Wooden blocks are used to represent units and battles are resolved without dice through a fast and simple combat system. Help Lenin, Stalin, and Trotsky advance

the communist revolution throughout the rest of Europe or draw the line in the

sand and help democracy prevail in Poland! No previous experience required.
