Energy Conservation Code Lighting Controls

Light level controls AND time clock controls required.

Occupancy sensors are an exception. C405.2.1.2

Light levels must be able to be lowered by at least

50%. Must be controlled by occupant in a

“reasonably uniform pattern.” This includes dual

switching, switching each luminaire or lamp, dual

ballast switching – occupancy sensors are an

exception. C405.2.1.2

Timeclock shall be provided, with override,

maximum control area: 5,000 SF. C405.2.2.1
