QUICK SIX-Thursdays game features the top two pass rushers in the PSAC - Shippensburgs Jake Metz has 10 sacks while Bloomsburgs Larry Webster has nine. -Bloomsburg ranks second in the PSAC in scoring (43.1 points/game) while Shippensburg stands third (39.3).-The Huskies lead the PSAC in team rushing by over 100 yards per game Bloomsburg averages 339.8 yards on the ground while second place Mercyhurst records 235.3 per contest.-Bloomsburg ranks fourth in the nation with suc-cess in the red zone the Huskies have scored in 32 out of 34 trips to the red zone with 25 touch-downs. The only two failures came when running out the clock vs. Stonehill and at Gannon.-Franklyn Quiteh leads Division II with 1,520 yards rushing this season.-Danny Fisher enters Thursday with 176 career PATs made, just three off the PSAC record of 179 set by Alex Walsh of West Chester between 2005-08.

TODAYS MATCHUPPSAC East rivals Bloomsburg and Shippensburg meet on Halloween Night on national television, renewing their rivalry dating back to 1917. For the Huskies, Thursdays game has been circled on the calendar since the Raiders ended their season last November in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs. Bloomsburg enters the game riding an eight-game winning streak to begin the year while Shippensburg looks to bounce back from a last-second loss to West Chester at home last Saturday. The Raiders opened the season ranked in the top 10 of many national polls, but started slowly with losses at Shepherd (W. Va.) and Slippery Rock. Ship responded with five straight wins before last weeks defeat. Thursdays game pairs two electric offenses with both teams averaging over 39 points per game, led by two of the most dynamic offensive talents in the region. Defending Harlon Hill-winning quarterback Zach Zulli (2,423 yards passing, 24 touchdowns) leads Shippensburg against BUs 2012 Harlon Hill finalist Franklyn Quiteh (1,520 yards rushing, 22 touchdowns).

THE HEAD COACHESPaul Darragh takes over the role of interim head coach this season after serving 16 years on the Bloomsburg coaching staff as defensive

coordinator. Under Darraghs leadership, the Huskies defense has ranked in the top half of the PSAC in total defense in seven of the past 11 seasons. Darragh has started his tenure as head coach with a 8-0 record, the best start to a tenure of any coach in Bloomsburg history. In his third season at the helm of his alma mater, Mark Maciejewski has guided Shippensburg to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 10 years. The 2012 AFCA Division II Region 1 and PSAC East Coach of the Year, Maciejewski led the Raiders to last years PSAC Championship Game and the second round of the NCAA Playoffs while his team broke or tied 73 school records. After beginning his career as a graduate assistant at Ship, he was a secondary/defensive ends/special teams coach at James Madison for two years and the defensive coordinator at St. Francis in 1999 before returning to Ship in 2000 as an assistant.

LAST YEARS MEETINGSBloomsburg and Shippensburg met twice last season at Ship, including a meeting in the first round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs. In the regular season matchup, Shippensburg raced out to a 35-7 lead at halftime, but the Huskies would roar back in the second half to tie the game at 42-42 with 2:39 to play. The Raiders answered by driving 83 yards in 14 plays to score the game-winning touchdown, a 2-yard pass from Zach Zulli to Bryan Barley, with four seconds remaining.

In the playoff rematch, Bloomsburg started strong, leading 14-13 at halftime. The second half belonged to Shippensburg, however, as the Raiders marched off 45 unanswered points behind 479 yards passing by Zulli. Franklyn Quiteh had 199 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Husky offense.
