Index 4Postsecondary ReadinessPurpose is to emphasize the importance for students to receive a high school diploma that provides the foundation necessary for success in college, the workforce, job training programs, or the military; and the role of the elementary and middle schools in preparing students for high school.

Index 4Graduation Score: Combined performance across the graduation rates from either the 4-Year or 5-Year Graduation rate

Methodology: 3 Step ProcessDetermine the number of students who completed High School (graduated) in 4 years (2012):RHSP/DAP Graduates for All Students and race/ethnicity student groups

Determine the number of students who completed High School (graduated) in 5 years (2011):RHSP/DAP Graduates for All Students and race/ethnicity student groups

Compare 4 & 5 year graduation rate. Determine which group size is greater.

If a campus does not have a four or five year graduation rate, the high school dropout rate is used instead.RHSP/DAP Graduates for All Students and race/ethnicity student groups
