The DWSP is an active member and advocacy organization leading the efforts to revitalize and strengthen the core of the city through business recruitment and support, economic development, marketing, special events, and the implementation of the Downtown Plan.

With over 75 restaurants, clubs, bars and amazing new facilities like BB&T Ballpark (home to our minor league team the Dash) and the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts downtown has become a vibrant mecca for Winston-Salem. Stop by the Arts District the first Friday of every month for a Gallery Hop. Free and accessible to the public, galleries & shops open their doors after-hours to showcase new exhibits and works. Catch an independent film at A/perture or a concert at one of our many venues. Sit in awe at the Stevens Center while you watch visiting performers or the UNC School of the Arts students. Downtown is home to the National Black Theatre Festival, RiverRun Film Festival, Salute! NC Wine Celebration, the Summer Music Series, The Fiesta Celebration, the BookMarks Festival, and so much more. There’s always a reason to be downtown.
