Small Business ManagementThis non-credit program runs for three weeks. Students participating

in this program will be involved in the morning academic lectures and workshops that offer insight into small business development concepts followed by visits to the area small businesses. The program also includes afternoon and weekend field trips and excursions. Students can expect to gain a better understanding of the small business development, concepts related to small business management and the ways businesses should operate to be successful.

Short-term Summer Programs On Campus

ESL Program: Conditional Admission

• SUNY Canton offers conditional admission to those students who do not meet the English Proficiency Requirement.

• Upon completion of an ESL program at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, students will be fully admitted at SUNY Canton.

English as a Second Language (ESL) and CultureThe three-week program provides English language learners the

opportunity to continue developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Formal instruction occurs in the mornings with field and cultural trips scheduled during afternoons and on weekends.

International On-Campus StudentsAdmission Requirements

Application deadlines:• International Applicants (excluding Canadians) Fall, July 1 — Spring, December 1• Canadians and Transfer Students from a U.S. University

Fall, July 15 — Spring, December 15

Apply at www.canton.edu/international/apply.html. The

following must be submitted to begin the admission process:

■ SUNY application and $50 (USD) processing fee.

■ Autobiographical essay.

■ Official high school transcripts/exam results.

■ Official college and university transcripts from the institution attended.*

■ If you are not already in the U.S., a photocopy of the photo identification page in your passport.

■ Official results of the TOEFL or IELTS sent directly from the testing service. The minimum TOEFL score of 500 on the paper-based or 61 IBT or minimum IELTS of 6.0 required.

■ Financial documentation showing sufficient funds. * Transcripts from universities attended outside of the U.S. need to be evaluated by a credentaling service (i.e. WES, ECE, etc)
