2012UPDATE

Dr Orna BerryChairpersonMr Paul Israel

Executive Director

WELCOMEWelcome to the Israel-Australia, New-Zealand & Oceania Chamber of Commerce (IACC) 2012 Pictorial Update.

Despite regional unrest, sluggish economies in Europe and the US, the Israeli tourism industry is enjoying an unprecedented boom with records being brokenon a regular basis, during the first half of 2012, over 2 million visitors arrived in Israel, an increase of 7% on the same period in 2011. As you’ll see in thispresentation, the IACC has also enjoyed a substantial increase in the number of visitors we’ve hosted, in fact, the first six months of 2012 more or less

resembles what we used to deal with in the space of twelve months!

The next slide honours the 40 Chamber Mission Leaders we’ve hosted over the past 23 years, this represents over 1,000 different mission delegates from awide cross range of industries, we cherish each and every visit and visitor!

Game changer: Over recent years, bi-lateral trade has steadily increased but in the next few years we expect there to be a major leap, mainly attributed to therecent discovery of off-shore Natural Gas which is the largest find in the world in the last decade. Together with AUSTRADE we are planning a delegation

targeting this opportunity, it goes without saying that Australia has an abundance of relevant experience and know-how which we know would be mostwelcomed here in Israel. This not only refers to the exploration and production side but also to related services and investments.

New Sponsors: We would like to recognise and thank two new sponsors- Erdi Group led by renowned businessman- Les Erdi. The Erdi Group together withGreenearth Energy (ASX:GER) are major investors in a novel technology from Israel for converting CO2 into fuels. Our other new sponsor is Gordon

Technologies run by Mr Moishe Gordon who recently brought to Israel an ‘investment related’ delegation.

New Trade Commissioner: The Chamber is looking forward to working with Israel’s newly appointed Trade Commissioner- Ms Etty Levy, best of luck! Wewant to thank the outgoing Commissioner for his outstanding work- Mr Udi Gonen. The Chamber is fortunate to cooperate with such high quality professionals.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Supporters, Members and in particular our Annual Sponsors listed below:
