Dear Fellow Cattle Producers:

Welcome to TJB Gelbvieh. It is with great pride we are able to present these cattle to you for your evaluation. Most of you know, we dispersed over 200 Gelbvieh females in 2006 and didn’t envision our return to this venue. However, my passion for breeding cattle won out and we slowly started rebuilding our herd. This program was always built on the strength and consistency of the dominant female with an emphasis on our “Cow Fami-lies”. Although some of the faces you will see leading this program have changed, the names have remained the same! We still rely on the “Vickie Vails”, the “Lady Granites”, the “Trevors”, and the “Joys”. We have also added some proven Angus females to utilize in our program which has now created a few new families i.e. “Blackcaps & Ericas”.

Due to the increasing demand for black hided genetics, we embarked on a breeding program utilizing our proven red Gelbvieh females and incorporating proven Angus genetics to create a new base of black females. We also purchased a very select few Angus females to utilize some of our Gelbvieh sires. We then chose to use the best of the Balancer® females and breed them up to higher percentage Gelbvieh. You will be evaluat-ing the results of our program today!

We are offering all young cattle in this sale and all possess the TJB prefix. We are not today and never have been cattle traders or multipliers. We strive to excel as cattle breeders combining traits we feel are beneficial to our customers. We believe form and function are very important to longevity and fertility and we believe those traits are crucial to economic success. We utilize the tools available to us today such as epd’s ul-trasound, and DNA evaluation. We choose however, to apply these technologies without losing sight of the type of cattle that allows all of us to stay efficient and productive.

We are offering a flush opportunity with the buyers choice of any donor/female in our TJB Gelbvieh program. Buyer has choice of any purebred or Balancer donor/female that are producing in our program. These donors are ready to flush this fall.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF DONOR FLUSHBuyer is Guaranteed 6 transferable embryos, with a guarantee of 3 pregnancies provided embryos are place by a certified embryologist approved by TJB Gelbvieh. Buyer receives up to 10 embryos if produced in the flush at no additional cost. All embryos produced above 10 must be purchased at the prorated cost of the flush purchase price of 6 embryos. TJB Gelbvieh pays all flush and freeze cost. Buyer pays shipping of embryos to buyers destination. Buyer provides semen for the flush unless it is a sire owned by TJB Gelbvieh. We used Majesty upon the recommendation of Chris and Randy after they viewed these cattle in the Dakotas. We elected to breed him to all the heifers because of the exceptional calving ease. I must say they exceeded our expec-tations in all arenas! If you are looking for nice young females with outstand-ing numbers and pedigrees, these should be intriguing. 105X is a daughter of a Velvet/Matrix female that has gotten the job done. Her second calf was a Silver bull, 207Y selling in the bull sale.
