Welcome...

At Tiffi n University, our students endeavour to excel in both the classroom and the athletic arena. Our athletic pro-grams have enjoyed tremendous success in recent years with conference championships, teams being nationally ranked and challenging at national tournaments. There have been numerous individual ac-colades including All-Americans, and it is no small accomplishment that in the past few years we have set new standards of excellence with our individual and team academic achievements. We expect our student-athletes to be just as successful in the classroom. A recent self study con-ducted by the university indicated that, of all the athletes who completed their eligibility at Tiffi n Uni-versity in the last fi ve years, 95% of those athletes graduated. While many colleges would be ecstatic with these results, we will never be content until it is 100%. We are proud of our rich history and look forward to setting new milestones as we enter the NCAA Division II playing fi eld and the highly competitive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. We are proud of our athletes and what they have accomplished. They have been the force behind the winning tradition that has been established, and I am confi dent the future will also be highly successful for Tiffi n University athletics.

The Diamond of the Dragons Tiffi n University enjoys playing its home games at the Tif-fi n University Athletic Complex. One of many recently developed facilities on display, the Diamond of the Dragons is a new and at-tractive addition to the softball fi elds of the American Mideast Conference. With capacity for 500, a separate junior varsity fi eld, en-closed bullpens, an internet-ready press box, and a large outfi eld electronic scoreboard, the fi eld of-fers the Tiffi n University softball team a great place to call home. The fi eld is just 1.5 miles from the Tiffi n University campus and resides on 78 acres of land that also house all the outdoor athletics teams at TU. The fi elds, which debuted in the fall of 1997, also include a baseball fi eld, two soccer fi elds, and two football practice fi elds along with the Tiffi n University Athletic Fieldhouse. In addition, there is expanded parking accomo-dating hundreds of vehicles.

Share the Pride, Build on Traditionis a $12 million comprehensive campaign designed to create endowed student scholarships, construct the new recreation center, and make other campus improvements. These enhancements, coupled with recent investments in new student apartments, the Tiffi n University Nature Preserve, Paradiso Athletic Complex, and the Miami Street Improvement Project, will result in a total investmentby Tiffi n University of more than $30 million in the Tiffi n community.

Campaign ObjectivesRecreation Center$9,400,000The Recreation Center will consist of two connected buildings: a fi eld house and an indoor practice facility. The connector will include a lobby and locker room facilities.

Other Campus Development$1,600,000Over the past several decades, TU has created a campus that not only refl ects the University’s own growth and success, but also en-hances the appearance and economic well being of the City of Tiffi n. To continue pursuing the campus master plan, TU seeks $1.6 million for land acquisition, landscaping, parking and others amenities.

Endowed Student Scholarships$1,000,000Without fi nancial aid, many Tiffi n University students could not afford higher education. Since over 80 percent of TU students receive some level of aid, TU leaders seek $1 million to bolster the endowment resources of the University to create additionalstudent scholarships.

As Athletic Director at Tiffi n University and Head Baseball Coach since 1992, I can personally attest to the fact that this is an exciting time at Tiffi n University and particularly its athletic department. As a full member of the Great Lakes Intercolle-giate Athletic Conference, arguably the nation’s fi nest conference, it is time to make a strong commitment to excellence. I am committed to increasing the visibility and our outreach efforts of TU’s athletic department while remaining conscious of your needs and concerns.

Because of this the Tiffi n University Athletic Department annually holds the Tiffi n University Athletic Department Golf Outing. By supporting Tiffi n University Athlet-ics through participation in the golf outing, the community assists us with this com-mitment and ensures our student athletes compete at the highest level.
