2012 KEY CARD MEMBERSHIPTeens ages 16 and older and adults with disabilities are required to become a Key Card Member to register for our programs. Ask us about all the other benefits of being a Key Card Member. Application is located as an insert. Please note key card membership is good for the calendar year from January 1st to December 31st and must be renewed each year.

TRANSPORTATIONParticipants are responsible for their own transportation arrangements. Easter Seals staff will ONLY be present during the scheduled program times listed in the program guide. Participants should plan to arrive NO EARLIER THAN 15 MINUTES prior to starting time of any programs or dances.

INCLEMENT WEATHERPlease look for WIL-O-WAY RECREATION CENTER or EASTER SEALS RECREATION CENTER on TMJ 4 or News Radio 620 WTMJ and 94.5 WKTI for any closing or cancellations due to inclement weather. This applies to programs and special events held at Holler Park and community locations such as bowling alleys.

Are you a person with a disability, bored, having no fun, few friends and nothing to do? Are you an agency, supporting events that are accessible and want to welcome people with disabilities? Do you want to meet new friends? Why not meet at the “Rec Room?”

The “Rec Room” is a master recreation calendar that features accessible events designed for people with disabilities in mind. Hosted by the Milwaukee County Office for Persons with Disabilities, the “Rec Room” will link people, places, and events. For more information, contact Mike Bonk at 414-278-3938.

CREDITS/REFUNDSDue to the nature of our programs and outings in which tickets or supplies must be purchased in advance, there will be no refunds given if you are not able to attend. If a program is cancelled by Easter Seals or your program is full, you will receive a CREDIT towards another program.

2012 KEY CARD MEMBERSHIPIn order to register for the programs listed in the 2012 Summer Guide, you must have a current 2012 Key Card Membership. The only exception is the Friday Night Dances where you can pay the non-member fee. The Key Card Application is included as a separate form in this guide.

CONFIRMATIONActivity confirmation will ONLY be sent if you include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your registration. You will ONLY be contacted if a program is filled/cancelled. PLEASE SAVE YOUR BROCHURE!

Program Policies & How To Register

FEESAll program fees must be paid at the time of registration. Checks and money orders are to be made payable to: Easter Seals Southeast Wisconsin. It is understood that until Easter Seals receives the fee, the participant is not registered in the program(s) or dance(s).

MINIMUM ENROLLMENTThere is limited enrollment in each program. Credits will be given if a program is cancelled and given an option to switch to a different class. You will be notified of cancellation by phone.

RETURNED CHECK POLICYAll checks returned for insufficient funds, accounts closed or no account will be assessed a $30 fee plus the cost of the outstanding program fee.

Be one of the first people to try a new sport coming to Grant Park. Disc Golf has been popular for many years for good reason. It is fun! In this class we will learn the fundamentals of disc golf and sharpen our skills to get ready for a summer of fun. Disc Golf is like regular golf, but using a frisbee and a net instead of a ball, clubs, and holes. All participants will receive their very own golf disc to take home!

Have a blast with friends old and new in this class all about games. Play anything from indoor games like cards or board games to outdoor games (weather permitting) like bean bag toss. Cribbage will be offered every week.

Come in the afternoon and work on your bisque. The staff will assist you with the glazing, painting, and staining of bisque pieces. Your $55 fee will be applied towards your bisque account similar to a checking account. The bisque cost will be deducted each time you finish a project. The bisque cost is separate in addition to the firing, acrylic, glaze and detail expenses.

In this class we will learn the basics of grilling. We are going to make hamburgers, hotdogs and other tasty treats over the grill. A great summer activity! Don’t forget, you will be able to eat what you create at the end of every class!
