THE GIANTS...� nished the 2012 regular season with a 94-68 record and in 1st place in the NL West, 8.0 games ahead of the 2nd-place Dodgers.

• 94 victories were the most in a season since 2002 (95). • Finished the season 26 games over .500. • Matched the Braves for the 3rd-best winning pct. in the

NL behind Washington (.605, 98-64) and Cincinnati (.599, 97-65).

WITH THE BATS...! e Giants averaged 4.43 runs per game (718 runs/162 games), the 6th-highest avg. in the NL and nearly a run more than they averaged last year (3.52, last in the NL)...SF’s .269 avg. was the 3rd-highest in the league behind Colorado (.274) and St. Louis (.271).

ON THE MOUND...A" er ranking 1st or 2nd in the NL in ERA the past 3 seasons, the Giants’ pitching sta# � nished 5th in 2012, fashioning a 3.68 � gure...the starting sta# posted a 3.73 ERA (5th in the NL) while the relief corps had a 3.56 mark (8th in NL)...SF converted 53 of 66 save chances (80.3%), the highest save pct. in the NL and the 2nd-most rescues in the league behind Cincinnati (56).

AT AT&T PARK...! e Giants went 48-33 (.593) at AT&T Park, tied for the 5th-best home record in the NL...the o# ense hit .267 (711-for-2,665) at home while averaging 3.8 runs per game (308 runs/81 games)...SF’s 31 HRs at home were the fewest they’d ever hit at AT&T Park and the 3rd-fewest home HRs in SF-era history (24 in 1980, 28 in 1981).

ROAD WARRIORS...! e Giants tied the Braves for the 3rd-best road winning pct. in the NL this season, going 46-35 (.568)...only the Nationals (.593, 48-33) and Reds (.580, 47-34) had a better road record in the NL.

HOME/ROAD RUNS...SF averaged just 3.80 runs per game (308 runs in 81 games) at AT&T Park this sea-son, which ranked as the 6th-lowest average in the big leagues...however, on the road, the Giants averaged 5.06 runs per game (410 runs in 81 games), the 2nd-highest ! gure in the Majors behind Los Angeles-AL (5.17).

ROAD SERIES WINS..." e Giants lost just one series on the road since the All-Star break, going 10-1-1 (win-lost-split) in their last 12 road sets...their only series loss came at the hand of the Dodgers in the very last series of the season (Oct. 1-3).

BEST ON THE ROAD SINCE THE BREAK...Since the All-Star break, the Giants went 26-11 (.703) on the road, the best ! gure in the Majors.

RISP 1ST HALF-2ND HALF...Prior to the All-Star break, SF batted .225 (174-for-773) with RISP, which ranked as the 2nd-to-last lowest � gure among NL teams...however, following the break, SF hit .296 (217x734) in these situ-ations, the highest clip in the Majors.

1ST INNING RUNS..." e Giants scored 118 runs in the 1st inning, by far the most runs they scored in any inning this season...it was tied with the Yankees for the 2nd-most runs scored in the 1st frame behind Colorado (123 runs).

LAST IN HOMERS...! e Giants are just the 7th team since 1900 to reach the postseason depite hitting the fewest HRs in the Majors...the oth-ers: see chart on right hand side.

TRIPLES ALLEY...! e Giants led the Majors with 57 triples (had 24 last year) just 5 shy of matching the most in a season in SF-era his-tory (62 in 1960)...it was the 1st time for SF to lead the bigs in 3-baggers since the 1973 team did so (52).

CENTRAL COMMAND...SF posted a 27-14 (.659) record against NL Central opponents this season, going 16-6 at home and 11-8 on the road...SF’s .659 winning pct. against NL Central teams ranked as the 2nd-best in the NL behind Washington (.690, 29-13).

CLOSE CALLS..." e Giants’ 30 one-run victories were the 2nd-most in all of Major League Baseball behind Cincinnati (31).
