Just outside the Town of Sidney is mcDonald campground one of the national park reserversquos two drive-in campgrounds Located just a few minutes from the Swartz Bay and anacortes ferry terminals this campground is a convenient escape for getting close to nature while still enjoying all of the amenities of nearby Town of Sidney Itrsquos also a great home base for exploring the gulf Islands Park lands on mayne North and South

Pender and Saturna Islands are accessible by BC Ferriesrsquo southern gulf Island routes

The Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce hosted its sixth annual Starry Night Dinner amp Auction An Evening in Venice Dec 2 2011 at the Mary Winspear Centre

The gala event featured spectacular deacutecor and live jazz music fi ne appetizers more than 100 auction items fea-tured wines from North Saanichrsquos Muse Winery and enter-tainment from the talented Stellyrsquos Secondary School all under the theme of an evening in Venice The memorable well-attended event could not have happened without the following important contributors
