The iconic 2012 Silver Koala is a wonderful annual release and much anticipated by collectors. Struck from 99.9% pure silver, the coin’s reverse depicts an adult koala asleep on the branch of a tree. The design also includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark while the obverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Presented in a coloured, beautifully photographed card, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

Struck on a mint-to-order basis, the coin’s full mintage will be officially declared at the end of 2012.
