Introduction 簡介Intermarket analysis is a recent major development under the technical analysis method of investment espoused by Mr. John Murphy. Intermarket analysis tries to analyze the relationship between bond, currency, commodity and stock markets in order to predict the movement of these markets. For instance, in February 1987, bond market started to correct; however, the stock market still rallied to new high but collapsed in October 1987. This shows that drop in bond market may have predictive power on future correction of stock market in some case. With the thorough understanding of the relationship between various markets, it is easy for investor to predict the movement of the market that we invested by monitoring the movement of other markets. This can help us to improve our investment return and performance in some case.

Mr. Yuen is a finance professional with over 20 years practical experience in financial accounting, financial modeling and investment. He is a freelance trainer and grader. He served Qualification Program of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants with Module A Financial Reporting and Module B Corporate Financing, seminar of The Hong Kong Securities Institute, bachelor degree program of The Hong Kong Open University, post-graduate diploma of The Hong Kong Management Association, and CFA program of CFA Institute. He also served the community including having been the Director of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts, panel member of Board of Review under Inland Revenue Ordinance, and editorial advisory team of CFA Magazine. In addition to his training and practical experience, he is a seasoned writer and publishes articles in many professional magazines including A Plus of HKICPA, CSJ of HKICS, member magazine of Global Association of Risk Professionals, member magazine of ACCA, and member magazine of HKSFA.
