We have worked hard, and culled deep to provide a set of bulls that will maximize our customers’ profits. We are providing a toolbox of information for our customers to utilize for their bull selections. The tools in this tool box include, a catalogue, a video of the bulls, information on insurance, information on bidding if you cannot make the sale, information on our herd management, reference sire data, Epd projections, DNA profiles, performance data on individual animals, websites for your in depth research, an open gate policy for many to view the bulls at the ranch, the opportunity to view bulls at the sale barn, and always phone numbers you can reach us at to discuss individual questions.Use any, all, or some of these tools to make your selection. Chimney Butte Ranch Sight Unseen Warranty - If you cannot make it to the sale and wish to purchase a bull, please contact us. We will help select bulls for you to review. You may review the catalogue and DVD to assist in your selection. On sale day, we will assign a third party to call you and review the bull before the sale. We will have someone on the phone to bid for you, bid online using DV Auction, or you may ask one of the Livestock Representatives to bid for you. Your bid will remain confidential and will be handled professionally. When we deliver the bull to you, if it is not what you think we described, we will refund 100% of your purchase price.

Igenity DNA profiles, adjusted yearling weights and scrotal measurements will be available sale day in the form of a supplement sheet and will also be posted prior to the sale on www.chimneybutteranch.com as soon as the results are available.

Seeing is Believing - Enclosed on the inside front cover you will find our DVD. You can use it in your DVD player and watch the television from your favorite chair, or use your computer in the office. Please remember that your computer must have the ability to view DVD’s for this function to work. If you are having problems viewing the DVD, give Doug or Jeff a call.

Delivery - Option 1: Take your bulls home the day of the sale and receive $75 off your purchase price. Option 2: We feed the bulls until April 1, provide a breeding soundness exam, and deliver the bulls up to 400 miles at no charge. If the delivery is over 400 miles, we will work with you to insure safe, prompt and economoical delivery. No delivery will cost the buyer in excess of $250. We will feed the bulls for you after April 1, for $2.00 per day per bull. Buyer assumes all risk if bulls are left for us to feed.

Storm Date - We will make every effort to hold the sale regardless of the weather. The technology we have in place will allow us to hold the sale in case of a storm. All animals are presented on the DVD and the sale will be broadcast over the internet on www.dvauction.com.We will have phones available for bidders to call in and place their bids. In other words, you can buy your bull from the comfort of your home or office, regardless of the weather or road conditions. Please call us if you cannot make the sale. We will postpone the sale, if Kist Livestock cannot have staff available, or if we feel road and weather conditions will place our help, customers, staff or animals at excessive risk.

Insurance - Ownership transfers at time of sale. It is recommended that bulls be insured. Kist livestock can help provide insurance for you. Please inform the staff when paying for the bull if you wish to have the bull insured. Several plans are available. We will pay 50% of the insurance premium. We will pay a 50% of the premium, to a maximum of 2% of the sale price. Insurance premium must be paid at Kist on sale day.

Unless otherwise specified, Chimney Butte Ranch reserves the right for in herd use of semen from any bull offered for sale. This will be done at our expense, and the customers’ convenience.

We have opened the 2009 and 2010 sales with full brothers to this bull. In 2011 the second bull in thesale, was another full brother. The Messersmith Ranch in Nebraska liked the first bull well enough to buy the full brother offered in 2011. I think we used the last “Doc” 030P semen for this flush. This is the youngest calf we have ever put in our sale. Many of our customers have moved calving back 30 or 60 days, this guy will be ready. This calf was an accident. We wanted to flush her, but Pure Power got too close. What a great accident. We have put his dam, U510 into our ET donor program. His grand dam is the L112 cow, look at Y209 for an in depth description of her. His great grand dam, J31, was one of our first donor cows. We have never before offered a bull backed with 3 generations of females in our donor program. The Pure Power and Majesty cross has worked well in the past. This is probably the most powerful Pure Power calf we have ever raised. Look him over, try to pick him apart. He is good. He is herd sire material.
