• Sustainable Energy Sector Partnership Funds– Part of Arizona’s SESP grant became available for Get Into Energy
Program– Funds for approximately 150 students
Get Into Energy Program – Arizona Style
• “Bundled” three GIEP credentials into credit bearing courses– Career and Personal Development (NCRC, SkillsUSA)– Math– Energy Industry Fundamentals (ANSI)

Recruitment

• 7 districts and 40 high schools

Results• Recruited 126 students from local high schools and workforce
system• Approximately 65 followed through with qualification and registration
– Several deferred to Fall 2012 Semester• 62 students have taken the NCRC to date
– 5 Bronze (8%)– 37 Silver (60%)– 19 Gold (31%)– 1 Platinum (1%)
• 49 students have taken Energy Employability Skills to date– 35 have scored 75 or higher
• 67 currently enrolled in Energy Industry Fundamentals
