Usage Guidelines

How to Use This Document

Whether you’re • a member of an AMD regional marketing team, • an AMD OEM marketing professional

• an AMD AIB partner, or Marketing professional who develops packaging materials for AMD Graphics Processors, this brief will help you understand AMD guidelines for required visuals, logo

usage and placement etc. Within these pages, you’ll find packaging guidelines, including proper placement/use of AMD brand and

technology logos, as well as an approved packaging framework you may use for use in creation of your AMD Radeon™ GPU packaging.

Please follow these guidelines to help create your own product packaging, and help ensure that your creation remains clear and consistent — regardless of your market and/or region.

AIB Packaging: Required Visuals In order to better enable our customers to market and sell our products, we have developed new guidelines and assets for packaging to

call attention to key features that give our products a competitive advantage. It is essential and a requirement that we communicate and highlight these advantages at every opportunity. The following visuals for AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 Series Graphics are currently available upon request, contact Robert Ng ([email protected]).

Content & Placement

1. AMD Radeon™ Premium Graphics Logo OR AMD Radeon™ HD #### is required on the front panel, placement is flexible. Below are samples.

features you would like to add.

3. The following callouts are available for use on the back panel, placement is flexible. Reference AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 products support FOUR displays with the provided outputs, or SIX displays with third-party DisplayPort 1.2 MST hubs.

Non-reference designs may differ; please ensure that lockup usage correctly reflects your product’s display support.

AIB Packaging: Technology Logos Use of AMD technology logos can further enhance brand value by conveying your product’s advanced technologies at a glance. These

logos include AMD Eyefinity technology, AMD App Acceleration, AMD CrossFire™ technology and AMD HD3D technology.

PLEASE NOTE: There are strict requirements that must be observed in using these AMD technology logos. The general

guidelines for these logos can be found below; however, specific requirements for each technology follow on pages 10-

16.

- All product and product feature names for which AMD is claiming trademark rights should be following the ™ notice

symbol.

AMD Technology and Product Names

- All product and product feature names should be spelled out in lower case with the first letter capitalized. Do not spell the

entire product or product feature name in capital letters except where required for design consistency.

Use of Third Party Trademarks

– Partners must secure authorization to use any third party trademarks from the respective trademark holders

and follow all guidelines provided by the trademark holder.

– AMD does not review or approve third party trademarks or logos. Failure to follow third party guidelines can

result in liability and/or seizure of goods.

Use of Standard Legal Disclaimer

– The following legal line must be used in all advertising, and promotional materials which

incorporate graphics product and feature names from AMD but do not include the AMD name or

AMD Arrow logo:
