THE BACH VARIATIONSA PHILHARMONIC FESTIVALMarch 6–April 6

Highlights include piano concertos with András Schiff (Apr. 3–6), violin concertos with Isabelle Faust and conductor Bernard Labadie (Mar. 20–23), choral works with renowned Bach specialist Masaaki Suzuki (Mar. 6–9), and one of the crowning achievements in all of music, the Mass in B minor conducted by Alan Gilbert (Mar. 13–16).

THE COMPLETE BRAHMS SYMPHONIES & CONCERTOSMusic Director Emeritus Kurt Masur begins our cycle with two all–Brahms programs: Symphony No. 2 and the Double Concerto for Violin and Cello with soloists Glenn Dicterow and Carter Brey (Nov. 8–13), and Symphonies Nos. 3 and 4 (Nov. 15–17), Yefim Bronfman performs the First Piano Concerto (Jan. 16–19), and in February Christian Tetzlaff performs Brahms’s Violin Concerto, Rudolf Buchbinder plays the Second Piano Concerto, and Alan Gilbert conducts the First Symphony.
