July 1, 2011 Kewanna-Union Township Public Library was awarded a $53,000 U.S. D. A. Rural Development Grant for the renovation of the original Carnegie Public Library. This is in addition to the $500,0 00 Community Focus Fund Grant by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, for the construction of an addition to the Carnegie Library Building, 420 East Main Street, Kewanna, IN.
