WELCOME TO THE 9TH ANNUAL ORLANDO CABARET FESTIVAL!

This is a very special time of year, when Mad Cow Theatre takes a break from its season of award-winning theatre to spend 17 days celebrating the most intimate and exciting style of musical performance - Cabaret!

For nine years, our two intimate stages have presented some of the finest cabaret performers in our area, as well as headliners from New York and beyond. And this year we are raising the bar once again!

A BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB CABARETStarting in April, and running throughout the festival, Orlando Cabaret Artists have been spending time with children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida, introducing them to the joy of cabaret. These young artists have learned about the history of the art, learned songs and dances, and are putting together their own cabaret, filled with popular standards, contemporary music, and original songs to be performed for their families and friends. Mad Cow Theatre would like to thank the City of Orlando Mayor’s Matching Grant Program and our Kickstarter supporters for making this project possible.

THE BIG SHOW!An amazing group of singers come together for a Cabaret Festival benefit! Join some of your favorite artists from cabaret festivals past and present singing all of their favorite songs. This is a one-night-only pay what you wish event on May 6th at 9:30pm.

JAVIER NANDAYApA TRIO presented by the Consulate of MexicoThe trio was formed in March 2000, presenting music ranging from minimalist to contemporary and folkloric. These exciting and diverse musicians have performed at the International Percussion Festival, the Blas Galindo Hall in Mexico City’s National Center for the Arts; the Chihuahua University, Ciudad Juarez, and the Esperanza Iris theater.

Mad Cow Theatre and the Consulate of Mexico are pleased to present this free concert to the community on May 4th at 7:00pm. Reservations are recommended.

Two of your Cabaret Festival favorites are together on the same stage at last! Jesse Nager, founder and artistic director of The Broadway Boys joins forces with Andrea Canny to bring you Songs I Didn’t Get to Sing. A veteran of several Broadway shows and National Tours, Jesse will sing all the best songs from these iconic shows - that belonged to other characters. The performance will feature music from Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia, Good Vibrations, and many more.

Tony DeSareSinger, pianist and songwriter Tony DeSare has won critical and popular acclaim for his concert performances throughout the United States as well as in Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. In January, he launched an international tour with stops at the Algonquin Hotel’s Oak Room in New York, London, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC, Seattle, St. Louis and the Orlando Cabaret Festival.

Tony performs with infectious joy, wry playfulness, and robust musicality. His takes on classic standards and sophisticated original compositions have earned him a reputation as one of the country’s hottest young singer/pianists. His sound is romantic, swinging and sensual, but what sets Tony apart is his ability to write original material that sounds fresh and at the same time blends seamlessly with the Great American Songbook.

Will and Anthony NunziataWill & Anthony in Concert

Dubbed “a dynamic duo with beautiful voices and charming personalities” by Cleveland Pops conductor Carl Topilow, Will Nunziata and Anthony Nunziata have traveled the country with their acclaimed duo concert act. The Nunziata’s charm and energetic stage presence combined with their tenor singing voices create a powerful and touching show for audiences of all ages.

Will and Anthony are touring the country with a brand new concert act in collaboration with director Eric Michael Gillett and musical director Tedd Firth. Song selections include fresh takes on Something’s Coming, Everybody Says Don’t, The Prayer, and Make Someone Happy.

The brothers recently headlined a week-long engagement at New York City’s premiere nightclub at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency to packed houses. They have headlined as Guest Artists with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Colorado Pops Orchestra, and with the Cape Cod Pops Orchestra to an outdoor audience of more than 20,000. In the Spring of 2010, the brothers performed in Avery Fisher Hall as part of “Sondheim: The Birthday Concert” celebrating the 80th Birthday of Stephen Sondheim.

THEATRE pARKINGCovered parking is available at The Library Parking Garage, just 1/2 block from the theatre. There is also parking on the surrounding streets. ADA parking is available within the garage and at the corner of Pine and Magnolia.
