AimTo increase your oral presentation skills and your ability to convey a summary of your project plan.

You do not need to have all the details of your research confirmed.

You do need to demonstrate that you have thought about all aspects of your research (ethics, timeframe) and/or identified possible problems that may arise (adequate sample size, access to data).

The Bottom Line………………

The writing/work you do for this presentation will help both your literature review and methodology submissions.

You want the audience to ‘understand’ what your project is about, your topic, your RQ and why it is important and some of the intended outcomes of your work.

Leave your audience feeling interested in what you are going to do and confident that you can do it.

A few tips on PowerPoint presentations

Your slides – what are they for?

To help you get your story across to the audience

Help your audience stay focused & interested in your topic

The slide IS NOT the presentation

The slide is ‘Summary of concepts’

Aim for a slide a minute – no more!

• 10 minute talk = 10 slides

Keep it simple
