    WHAT: Volunteers are needed to help CLEAN OUR BIG BAY!

    WHEN: Operation Clean Sweep is Saturday, August 27th 2011 Volunteer Registration at your selected site, or pre-checkin at SDPTA office, 2390 Shelter Island

    Drive #210, San Diego, CA 92106; time TBD Clean Sweep starts at 8:00 am and ends at 11:00 unless otherwise specified Treasure Junk HuntCelebration immediately following Clean Sweep 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 pm

    WHERE: Above, below and around the waters of San Diego Bay. Volunteers select one site. South Bay Power Plant, 990 Bay Blvd, Chula Vista 8:00 start time Bayside Park Lot, Corner of Bayside and Quay Avenue, Chula Vista, 8:00am start time (kid

    friendly!) Chollas Creek- Chollas Creek (for18 years and older- wear work boots) Check in at Pacific

    Ship Repair and Fabrication 1625 Rigel St., San Diego. 7:00 am start timeChula Vista Nature Center Sweetwater Marsh Unit (for volunteers skilled with heavy

    machinery only; pre-checkin only)Convair Lagoon/old Harbor Island Boat Launch, Harbor Drive, San Diego 8:00am start time Divers needed! Check in at the Chula Vista Marina, 7:00am start time Divers needed! A-8 Anchorage in National City, 7:00am start time (pre-checkin only)

    WHO: All volunteers interested in respecting Our Waters Divers - Civilian divers join Navy divers in collecting trash from the bottom of San Diego Bay Boaters - Boaters and other volunteers collect debris floating on San Diego Bay Walkers - Volunteers pick up trash along our waters edge of San Diego Bay

    HOW:

    1. Come to your selected site on Saturday, August 27th to receive your T-Shirt and Clean

    Sweep instructions, unless you took advantage of pre-check in.

    2. Come prepared to work!

    3. All volunteers should wear work gloves and comfortable work shoes that can get wet anddirty. Put on your Operation Clean Sweep T-Shirt to show your support.

    4. Boaters -Skiffs or dinghies are handy. Bring nets and skimmers.

    5. Be rewarded for your clean up efforts at the Treasure Junk Hunt celebration. Located at

    BAYSIDE PARK, Chula Vista from 11:00 am -1:30 pm. Enjoy lunch, beverages, and

    family entertainment. Prizes forunusual trash treasures will be awarded. Wear your

    Operation Clean Sweep T-Shirt to gain admittance to the celebration.
