Warninglightscanalertyoutoavehicleconditionthatmaybecomeseriousenoughtocauseexpensiverepairs.Awarninglightmayilluminatewhenaproblemexistswithoneofyourvehicle’sfunctions.Manylightswillilluminatewhenyoustartyourvehicletomakesurethebulbworks.Ifanylightremainsonafterstartingthevehicle,refertotherespectivesystemwarninglightforadditionalinformation.
Serviceenginesoon:TheserviceenginesoonindicatorilluminateswhentheignitionisfirstturnedtotheonpositiontocheckthebulbandtoindicatewhetherthevehicleisreadyforInspection/Maintenance(I/M)testing.Normally,theserviceenginesoonindicatorwillstayonuntiltheengineiscranked,thenturnitselfoffifnomalfunctionsarepresent.However,ifafter15secondstheserviceenginesoonindicatorblinkseighttimes,itmeansthatthevehicleisnotreadyforI/Mtesting.SeetheReadinessforInspection/Maintenance(I/M)testingintheMaintenanceandSpecificationschapter.
Solidilluminationaftertheengineisstartedindicatestheon-boarddiagnosticssystem(OBD-II)hasdetectedamalfunction.RefertoOn-boarddiagnostics(OBD-II)intheMaintenanceandSpecificationschapter.Ifthelightisblinking,enginemisfireisoccurringwhichcoulddamageyourcatalyticconverter.Driveinamoderatefashion(avoidheavyaccelerationanddeceleration)andhaveyourvehicleservicedimmediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.

Ifthebrakesystemwarninglightdoesnotilluminateatthistime,seekserviceimmediatelyfromyourauthorizeddealer.Illuminationafterreleasingtheparkingbrakeindicateslowbrakefluidlevelandthebrakesystemshouldbeinspectedimmediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.
WARNING:Drivingavehiclewiththebrakesystemwarninglightonisdangerous.Asignificantdecreaseinbraking

Overridingthebounce-backfeatureTooverridethisprotectionfunctionwhenthereisaresistance,e.g.inthewinter,proceedasfollows:
1.Closethewindowtwiceuntilitreachestheresistanceandletitreverse.
