Annual Conference 2011 "Mentoring Through Change"

Mentoring is a cost effective, practical solution to professional development within any organisation, it leads to an enhanced learning culture and ultimately benefits patients and service users. In the North West, in partnership with the Leadership Academy, the North West Mentoring Scheme is focused on enhancing leadership quality and capacity and aims to add value to the process of management and enhances managerial capability across public sector organisations.

The scheme works hard to ensure all mentors are suitably prepared and matched to individuals aspiring to leadership roles or looking for assistance with their professional and personal development. In the near future, we will be integrating coaching, enabling both mentoring and coaching to be managed by the Scheme. Each year we hold our showcase event, the annual conference, to invigorate existing mentors and mentees, and to attract new members to the scheme. It is a networking and learning event with distinguished and recognised speakers, and is eagerly anticipated by all scheme members. This year will mark our 4th annual conference and will be held at Manchester United Stadium at Old Trafford on the 9th of June 2011. We are expecting attendance in excess of 120 scheme members and stakeholders. To meet and exceed the expectations of our delegates we rely on meticulous planning, hard work, and the valued support of our sponsors. We would like to request your support with this venture. It is our aim to make this year the best yet, enabling us to raise the profile of mentoring and coaching in NHS and local authority organisations across the North West.
