LEVERAGING OPPORTUNITIES

LEVERAGING OPPORTUNITIES:

In complex valuation and litigation services, an “expert witness” usually presents the calculations. This occurs because of the complexity of the calculations, the specialized nature of the work, and the credibility and independence that only an outsider can provide. These experts usually come from the field of accounting and other quantitative sciences.

Even when testimony is not required, outside financial advisors are often necessary because most litigation requires a large effort in a short period. Internal resources have other responsibilities and may not have the specialized training necessary to efficiently or appropriately support the litigation plan.

This conference explores the technical and ethical aspects of being an accounting expert witness and winning.
