2010 Shiraz Viognier Adelaide Hills Paracombe Shiraz Viognier will capture your senses with its fragrant aromatics and silky flavour. A single vineyard wine, the MacGillivray family vineyard at Paracombe in the Adelaide Hills was chosen by Paul and Kathy Drogemuller as the specialist site for the grapes for this classic blend. Shiraz 97% and Viognier 3% grapes were crushed and co-fermented in small open tanks, hand plunged and then aged in French Oak to produce a rich, flavoursome wine. The bouquet offers dark cherry and plum aromas with hints of musk rose petal and honeysuckle. Opulent fruit flavours combine in harmony with mocha and spicy notes to add complexity and a lingering finish. A delicious style of wine quickly gaining popularity amongst Paracombe wine lovers.
