Roslyn Brewing CompanyRoslyn, WAROSLYN DARK LAGER – “Our original brew. It is amild dark lager with a distinct character, and close-ly resembles the lager handcrafted by the Germanbrewmeisters at the original Roslyn Brewery andMalting Company one hundred years ago. We useour own recipe of Roslyn water, fresh from the Cas-cade Mountains, four types of malted barley andthree hop varieties to produce this smooth lager.”

BROOKSIDE PALE LAGER – “A pale lager beermade without the darker malts that we use inRoslyn Beer. It is hopped primarily with YakimaHallertau hops, and may remind you of a beer youmight find at a small gasthaus in Germany. It isespecially popular with people who like full-bodied,lighter beers with mild hopping, and is named forthe Brookside neighborhood of Roslyn. “

Iron Horse BreweryEllensburg, WAQUILTER’S IRISH DEATH – Created by the brew-ery’s founder, Quilter’s Irish Death is what we call adark, smooth, ale. Any attempt at classifying it justends up sending beer geeks into a style guidelinesdiatribe. So forget style guidelines. Is your pursuit ofmicro beer about tasting copies of a style that fitguidelines anyways? (Neither is ours) Irish Death is amalt bomb. We lovingly refer to it as beer candy. Whiletempting to session this beer, the name is a necessaryreminder that despite the surprising approachability, this beer weighs in at a hefty 7.8% ABV.

HIGH FIVE HEFE – Wheat, honey and ginger. A hefewith flavor before the fruit. No lemon required. Infact, please spare our beer from the embarrass-ment. Sorry to the loyal Iron Horse evangelists whojust can’t get enough of this beer. Summertime only.

Mac & Jacks Brewing CompanyRedmond, WAAFRICAN AMBER ALE – Brewed in Seattle, andavailable only by the keg, this Pacific Northwest beeris unpasturized and unfilterd. Creamy, hoppy and deli-cious, no visit to the great beer city of Seattle is com-plete with out a couple of pints of this magnificentamber ale.

MAC & JACK’S IPA – Mac & Jack’s IPA is a refresh-ing, smooth and balanced India Pale Ale. Using a vari-ety of special malts and plenty of locally grown hops,we have created an IPA that has great hop flavor with-out being bitter. This beer exhibits a toasty malt mid-dle, which provides a backbone for the crisp hop fin-ish. In keeping with Mac & Jack’s tradition, this beeris dry hopped for exceptional hop flavor.

Old SchoolhouseBrewery Winthrop, WAOLD SCHOOLHOUSE IMPERIAL IPA – With almost dou-ble the hops of our Ruud Awakening IPA, the ImperialIPA is packed full of piney, floral, and citrusy Northwesthop varieties. The layers of caramel and toasted maltsadd some balance to the massive hop qualities used inthis Imperial IPA. Like its younger brother (the RuudAwakening IPA), this IPA tends to be hop-dominated, butat times can seem dangerously smooth. ≈9% ABV

RUUD AWAKENING IPA – Expect your taste buds to berudely awakened and temporarily disabled by theplethora of hops used in this IPA. The brutally bitterbeginning is followed by a citrus aftertaste. ≈7% ABV

UNCLE BIG’S BROWN – A medium to dark brown alewith hints of chocolate and caramel, slight biscuit maltflavors, mildly hopped, and very smooth. ≈5% ABV.

Alpine BrewingCompanyOroville, WA

ALPINE BOHEMIAN PILSNER – Golden colored, full bodied example of this popular beer. A veryslight maltiness is balanced with a generous doseof noble hops, which gives this beer a wonderfulhoppy aroma without making it too bitter.Extremely “süffig” (quaffable).

ALPINE MARZEN – A classic Bavarian “Märzen”with a rich malty aroma. This amber-colored andfull-flavored lager beer is brewed from aclassic recipe. A conditioning time of 6 to8 weeks guarantees the exceptional bal-ance, smoothness and full body typical oftrue German beers.

ALPINE HEFEWEIZEN – A new brew forAlpine, making its debut of the first keggedbatch in March, but already making a goodimpression. At the Leavenworth Ale Festthis April, the Alpine Hefeweizen wasawarded Judges Award for Best of Showand Judges Award for Best Wheat Beer.

DeschutesBreweryPortland, OR

TWILIGHT SUMMER ALE ~ a straw-colored alewith a vigorous hop essence and a subtle, wafer-like body that complements the flavor of this spe-cial seasonal brew. It is a unique blend of fourhops and malts: Cara-Pils and Carastan malts withthe late addition of whole flower Amarillo, Cas-cade and Tettnang hops.

HOP IN THE DARK CDA (Cascadian Dark Ale)~ Can an IPA be black? Semantics aside, this noirversion adds deep roasted malts to alter the hueand slightly smooth the edges. What emerges issomething deeper, less orthodox, and all its own.

SHTICKY BLONDE – Golden color, light carbona-tion, malty tones, without much hoppiness. Cur-rently runs around 6% ABV. There is a presence ofhoney, but ever so slightly. The finish is very nice, soft, and light. Every sip begs for another.
