Background

AHCAS is a joint venture between Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP) and Liaison International

2010 Program Services performed program needs survey Identified interest in developing a CAS for Allied Health

professions

2010 – 2012 ASAHP staff performed feasibilities studies

End 2012 – ASAHP staff received the “go ahead” from senior staff

Initial meeting with Liaison International occurred the one month prior to Spring Meeting 2013

Anticipated release date of AHCAS is beginning of September 2013 for 2014 admissions

What is a CAS?

A centralized Application Service (CAS) is a full service web based application system, designed to streamline the

application process for students in respiratory care, radiologic and imaging sciences and the laboratory

sciences. A CAS will also streamline the reviewing process for institutions.
