Horseshoe oil tank, half-moon footboards and chrome straight-shot exhausts are among the details that complete this rolling retro masterpiece.

Bobbers have been around since the first time a rider looked at his bike and thought, “you know what, I could strip some of this stuff and make it faster.” In those days they were working on army surplus machines, ripping them back to create clean, uncluttered roadsters. We’ve applied the same theory to the Dyna® Street Bob® - cleaning up lines, chopping back the fenders, internally wiring the handlebars and fitting a solo seat. A Twin Cam 96™ engine hooked up to a six-speed gearbox and shorty pipes brings the noise, whilst finishing touches include black rims on chrome-laced wheels.

The Dyna® Fat Bob®: a serious statement with heavyweight intentions disguising surprising agility thanks to its shortened wheelbase. Drag bars and dual headlights top off a fat front end with low-profile front fender, whilst chrome Tommy Gun pipes dominate the right side profile. Forward foot controls and a classic bobtail rear fender complete the muscular minimalism.

For decades our engineers, road testers and designers have been pushed totheir limit to create the perfect Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. New six-speedCruise Drive™ transmission, constant engine evolution resulting in the latest Twin Cam 96™, y-by-wire throttles for re ned control and ‘invisible’ ABS where the latest braking technology is blended seamlessly with traditional Harley-Davidson styling. Over the last ve years we’ve combined radical redevelopment with constant behind-the-scenes improvement.A brand new chassis for 2009 forms the basis for all our Touring bikes, with a completely redesigned frame. It’s 67% stiffer than the previous chassis and delivers increased load carrying capacity, re ned rider control and increased feedback.

Our engineers further improved the rider experience by coupling the new chassiswith a new 4-point rubber-mounted engine isolation system and re-tuned suspension.Not satis ed with this, they tweaked the wheelbase for stability, increased the available lean angle and tted a 180-section rear tyre for better road contact.This all adds up to a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that’s designed to carry you further, in more comfort, with more everyday luxuries than ever before.

From day one and the rst mile, we’ve been constantly changing our motorcycles,

using the feedback from a legion of riders to keep on, keepin’ on.

These developments followed the introduction of electronic throttle control complete with cruise control options the previous year. During the same period, Brembo® brakes were tted to upratethe stopping capability, and smart security with a proximity sensing feature was launched to protect your ride, so as you approach your machine the alarm detects the fob and automatically disarms.

So many of the styling elements of the Duo Glide™ roll on in today’s range. In particular the Electra Glide®, Fat Boy®, and Road King® models all call on the Duo Glide motorcycle’s clean strong lines for inspiration.

1965 Electra Glide®

The fi rst Harley-Davidson® motorcycle to feature an electric start was also the start of the classic Touring profi le. The front fender lines and exhaust still resound in the latest Electra Glide® range.

1988 XLH Sportster® Hugger™

This iconic Sportster® motorcycle featured the new Evolution™ engine and the lightweight peanut tank. Its low seat height and dropped stance inspired the 883 and 1200 Low, as well as contributing to the latest Sportster incarnation - the Iron 883™.

1957 Sportster®

Few bikes in our line-up are as important as this one. An evolution of the 1952 K series, the Sportster® combined a nimble chassis with our hallmark peanut tank and integral gearbox. The exhaust lines from 1957 still grace Sportster motorcycles today.

1979 Ironhead Sportster®

The Ironhead took the Sportster® tradition and carried it forward. Development of both the engine and chassis paved the way for the Sportster motorcycles of today.

1993 Dyna® Wide Glide®

Improving the classic styling with a modern chassis, this bike offered increased rake on the forks, more chrome and, for the fi rst time, ape-hangers for a new generation custom look.

1971 FX Super Glide®

It was our very own Willie G. Davidson who embarked upon a styling exercise to combine our Big Twin chassis with a Sportster® style front end. This gave birth to a whole new style of Harley® motorcycle, which fathered today’s Dyna® family.

1973 Electra Glide® Classic Nothing in history has contributed to the distinctive style of a Harley-Davidson® Tourer as much as the Batwing fairing. Created with the practical purpose of not only protecting the rider’s body from the elements but also extending out to the hands, this design has remained in place for fi fty years of developmentand production.

Just by looking at it you can spot the inspiration for the newest Electra Glide® incarnation. The Batwing fairing, the Duo Glide-inspired front end and the classicEL tank lines. So much history combinedin the future of Harley-Davidson® Touring.

2010 Electra Glide® Ultra Limited

1936 EL KnuckleheadThe father of modern American cruisers, the 1936 EL featured an iconic gas tank profi le with centre console and horseshoe oil tank, and was the bike that established the clean fl owing lines featured on so many of its descendants. Also it was one of the fi rst production motorcycles to feature stunning paint schemes with gorgeous Art Deco tank script and hand-painted pinstriping. It oozed style, from top to bottom.

completely yours for the taking. A reshaped Badlander™ seat and passenger seat give you a lower

The Softail Rocker C could easily have been named “The Jaw-dropper”. Long raked-out forks

meet custom, adjustable V bars. The tank ows down into a saddle that seems to oat above the

rear wheel, hiding the revolutionary Trick™ seat. Literally dripping in chrome, including stunning

ve-spoke wheels and engine cases topped with ghost ame paintwork; this attention-

grabbing machine looks like it just rolled out of a Californian custom shop, but is pure Harley

through and through.

In all walks of life there are true legends. And in the world of motorcycling, the Fat Boy takes

those honours with ease. From the moment a cyborg rider told the world he’d be back,

the Fat Boy has been building its icon status. The very de nition of heavyweight styling,

from bare knuckle risers to the fat front tyre and “bullet hole” wheels, the Fat Boy is a bike

that has been copied the world over. Close, but no cigar.

The Dyna Super Glide Custom is pure class. Taking one of our iconic machines and

detailing it with chromed-out engine covers, centre console and chrome-laced steel

results in a pedigree factory custom. The low-slung one-piece seat invites passengers

and mid-mounted rider pegs complement the easy riding position provided by the mini

pull-back handlebars.

Softail® FamilySometimes looking back is the best way forward. Rewind to the days of the clean, streamlined ‘Hardtail’Harley® motorcycles when bikers used to remove the rear suspension and take a real battering in the seat. That’s how these bikes got their clean lines from the steering head down to the back wheel. Modern day Softail® riders needn’t worry – we’ve cleverly concealed the rear shocks so you still get the cool retro looks with all the refi nements that riders have come to expect in a modern day motorcycle. These weren’t easy technological advances to make, but then the word ‘diffi cult’ isn’t listed in the Harley-Davidson dictionary.
