There are a few big changes to theFurzedown Summer Festival this year:rather than packing all events into a two-week period, events span the whole ofJune and early July. We will be decoratingMoyser Road on 5th June , holdingFurzedown in the Park (formerly calledthe Fun Day) on Saturday 19th June andrunning a series of fitness taster activitiesfor all the family, among other things.
Look at the chronological eventscalendar in the centre for a completeview of what’s on and when.The Furzedown Festival is your festival.We are a group of volunteers running the Festival (and the whole FCN –Furzedown Community Network). Adult Cycling courseGet that bike out of the shed! For those wanting to build more confidence cycling onthe roads. Provide your own roadworthy bike. We will run two 2-hour sessions, duringthe month of June. Dates, times and venue TBC.Cost is free, but you must register in advance as places are limited to 4 adults per session.

Local Churches’Action SundayWe start at 10.30 am with a short servicein Welham Road between St James'Church and Mitcham Lane BaptistChurch. Then the local churches will besending out teams into the Furzedowncommunity between 11.00 am and 1.00pm to undertake cleaning, tidying,decorating and gardening. We go where help is needed!
