In2009,AimeeDeVoscompletedher15thseasonasheadcoachand16thwiththe49erssoftballprogram.Afterservingasthein-terimheadcoachin1995,DeVoswasnamedheadcoachforthe1996season. Inhertenure,DeVoshasmadegreatstrideswiththeprogramon and off the field. She has recorded Charlotte’s largest, third-largestandfourth-largestwintotals,whilealsoputtingtogethernine20-winseasons.Sheisthefirst49erheadcoachtosurpassboth the200and300career-winmarksand isapproachingher400thcareervictory.DeVosachievedher300thcareervictoryina4-2conferencedecisionagainstGeorgeWashingtonatthe2007Atlantic10Tournament.Justasimportantashersuccessonthefield,DeVoshasalsograduated100percentofherplayerssincetakingoverasheadcoach. Sherecordedhermostsuccessfulseasonin2006,leadingthe49erstonumerousschoolrecords,includingthemostwinsinaseason(42),aswellastheprogram’sfirst-everconferencechampi-onshipwhenCharlottewent17-3intheirfirstseasonintheA-10,capturingtheregularseasontitle.Inadditiontosettingthesingle-seasonrecordsforhits,battingaverage,homersandRBI,her2006team included a record six all-conference selections, includingfourfirst-teamhonorees.Threeofthoseplayersrepeatedin2007toclaimconferencenods. Lastseason,Charlotteposteditsfourth-straight30-pluswinseasonbygoing33-16includinga14-4markinAtlantic10play.TheNiners’conferencerecordearnedthemtheAtlantic10Con-ferenceRunner-uptitlemissingoutontheconferencecrownbyonlytwogames.TheseasonsawseveralprogramrecordsfallwithEmilyJefferyfanningaprogram-high294battersonherwaytoa23-winseason,thethirdhighesttotalinNinerhistory.Ontheoffensiveend,SarahMalenemovedintofirstplacewith150careerruns scoredandCeeBrooks tookover the title formostcareerRBIwith113.SerenaSmithleadCharlotteinhitsforthesecond-consecutiveseasonwith62,whileaddingateamhigh.363battingaverage.Three49ersclaimedFirstTeamAll-Atlantic10honorswithMalene,JefferyandSmithpickinguptheawards. Inthe2008season,DeVosputtogethera35-winseason,thethird-highestwintotalinprogramhistory,whichincludedatripto the championship game of the A-10 Tournament, hosted atCharlotte’s own D.L. Phillips Sports Complex where the Niners

tookonNo.20Massachusetts.Thatseason,the49ersclaimedavictoryoverthen-No.15NorthCarolinaatD.L.Phillips.Inthecircle, Katy Hackett set the then single-season record with 176strikeouts,whileEmilyJefferyputup146strikeoutsonherwayto18wins.Ontheoffensiveend,all-conferenceselectionSarahMalene shattered her 2006 single-season record with 46 runs,whileSerenaSmithre-wrotetherecordbookswith71hits.Four49erswerenamedtotheall-tournamentteam,whileMaleneandfreshmanWhitneyWilliamsearnedall-conferencenods. Atestamenttohercoachingabilityandstrengthofthepro-gram,severalofDeVos’playershavecontinuedtoplayaftertheircollegiatecareers.In1999,JanineRepolebecamethefirstmemberofthe49ersdraftedbytheWomen’sProfessionalFastpitchLeague.Morerecently,bothKristinWhite(2002)andMelanieThevenote(2003)playedinternationally. A four-year letterwinner at Drake, the Yorkville, Ill., na-tiveboastsahealthysoftballresumefromasuccessfulprogram.DeVosgraduatedfromDrakein1993withadegreeinbusinessmarketing.Shewasa1993All-MissouriValleyConferenceplayerafterleadingtheBulldogstotheMVCregularseasonandtourna-mentchampionshipsandaspotinthe1993NationalInvitation-al Championship. A shortstop and outfielder, DeVos still ranksamongDrake’sall-timeleadersinhomeruns. Inadditiontoherheadcoachingduties,DeVosconductssev-eralsummerandwintersoftballcampsandclinics.Inthesum-merof2004,shecoachedaselectgroupofplayerstoplaytheU.S.OlympicteaminCharlotte. MelissaPorchebeginsher secondyearwith the49er staff after being named assistant coach onAugust 1, 2008. She handles all of the pitchingdutiesfortheNiners. Lastseason,Charlotteimprovedinseveralim-portant categories under the tutelage of Porche.The49ers saw increases in strikeouts,whilede-creasing the opponent’s batting average and

extra-basehits.Charlotte’s strikeouts jumped from332 in2008 to401lastseason,despiteplayinginfewergames.ThenumberwassodrasticthatNiners’pitchersstruckoutonaveragethreemorebatterspergamein2009andloweredtheiropponent’sbattingaveragefrom.257to.218. PriortojoiningupwithcoachDeVos,Porcheplayedinternation-ally inEuropeduring the summerof2008, afterwrappingupherseniorseasonatMissouriState. DuringherfouryearcampaignatMissouriState,shewastheaceofthestaffandwasnamedtotheMissouriValleyConferenceFirstTeamduringherseniorseason.Porcheputtogetheracareermarkof59-48,witha2.22ERAand744strikeouts,whilerecording17savesandtossing20careershutouts.PorchealsoexcelledintheclassroomasshewastwicenamedtotheMVCScholarAthleteteam. AnativeofBuenaPark,Calif.,PorcheearnedherBachelor’sDe-greeinPsychologyfromMissouriStatein2008.

Kristi Killough enters her second season as anassistantcoachforthe49erssoftballsquad.Herdutiesincludeoverseeingoftheoffenseandout-fielders. In her first season as an assistant coach forthe49ers,KilloughhelpedtoimproveCharlotteinseveraloffensivecategoriesincluding;battingaverage,homeruns,sluggingpercentageandon-

basepercentage. Prior to joining her alma mater’s coaching staff on August 1,2008, Killough was the Head Coach at nearby Central CabarrusHighSchoolinConcord,N.C.whilealsocoachingtheFirestixtravelteam. AtCharlotte,Killough lettered from2004-07,where shewasastandoutfortheNinersbytwicebeingnamedaFirstTeamAll-At-lantic10performer.Sheholdsboththecareerandseasonhomerunrecordswith20overallandduringthe2006season.Killoughwaskey to the2007 team,whoappeared inCharlotte’sfirst everA-10Championshipgame,bybeingnamedtotheA-10All-Tournamentteam,afterhitting.538infourgameswiththreeRBI.Shewrappedupasolidcareerin2007with105careerRBI,whichisoneshyoftheall-timeschoolrecord. A native of Concord, N.C., Killough graduated in December2007withaBachelor’sDegreeinMiddleGradesEducation.

Thisyear, theD.L.PhillipsSoftballComplexwillhaveadifferent feel to it forfansandplayersas stadiumseatingwasput inbehindhomeplate for improvedviewingof thefield.Thestadiumnow features300 total seatswithamixtureofchair-backseatsandmetalbleacherswithbacksupport.ThenewseatswilladdtotheatmosphereatD.L.Phillips,whichhostedthe2008Atlantic10SoftballTourna-mentwhenthe49ersreachedthechampionshipgame. Thesoftballcomplexalsofeaturesbullpens,battingcages,apressbox,aconces-sionsstandaswellaslightingallowingtheNinerstoplaynightgames.Thesoftballteam’slockerroomandcoaches’officesarelocatedinWachoviaFieldhouse,whichoverlooksthefield.Eachplayerhastheirownindividuallockerinthefieldhouse.

Charlotte’sMediaRelationsDepartmentsatdowntotalkwithHeadCoachAimeeDeVostogetherthoughtsonthe2009campaign,theseasonahead,herreturners,newcomersandwhytheprogramhasbeensosuccessfulintheAtlantic10.

Last season, Charlotte took home the Atlantic 10 Regular Season Runner-up title and barely missed out on the overall title. Looking back on the season what do you think was key to the success of that team?WeprovedtobeverystrongonthemoundandthatwasledbyEmilyJefferyinherrecord-breakingseason.Ithinkouroffensiveline-upbecamemorebalancedthanithasinyearspast.Wehadseveralplayerscontributesteadilytoouroffensiveproductionwhichdidn’tforcetheteamtorelyontwoorthreebattersinthelineupandultimatelyourteamdefensewasthestrongestithadbeeninyears.

With the recent renovations to D.L. Phillips Softball Complex, how do you think the atmosphere on gameday will change?The49erSoftballStadiumjustcompletedoneofthebestmakeoversthisfacilityhaseverseen.Wehaveaddedbleacher-backandstadiumseatingdirectlybehindhomeplate.Wecannowhaveallofourfanssitcomfortablyandsupportourteam.Wehopethatbyclosingintheareabetweenthetwodugoutswecancreatemorecrowdnoiseandenthusiasmforourteam.Thefanstrulyhaveafirst-classfacilitytowatchtheNinersongameday.

This year’s team is loaded with upper-classmen with four seniors and six juniors. Speak of the importance to have the experience of upper-classmen in the Atlantic 10 and the qualities that it brings to the team?Ourupper-classmenwillmakeup80percentofthestartinglineupfor2010.ThroughmyyearsofcoachingIhavecometotrulyvaluetheveteranplayers.Theirleadershipandtheon-the-fieldexperiencecannotbetraded.Asinthecaseofthisyear’steam,sevenofthestartingninehavebeeninthestartingrotationfortwotothreeyears.WhitneyWilliams,SerenaSmith,KeriPalmaandTenayaTuckerallreturntothetop-fivespotsinourbattingorderandwearelookingtoplug-intheremainingspotofourtop-fivebatterswitheitherofourotherreturners;KendraMcCallorLorenaVela.ThisparticulargroupoftenreturnersishungryforanA-10champion-ship.

On the other end of the spectrum you have brought six freshmen into the fray. What do you expect them to bring to the program individually and together? Whenwerecruitedourfreshmenclasswehittheroadlookingforinfielders.Thisyear’sfresh-

menclassallplayaninfieldpositionalongwithacouplewhoplayoutfieldorpitch.Asagroupwelookfortheseplayerstoaddinfielddepthandforthemtocontendforstartingpositionsinallspotsoftheinfieldasweonlyhavetworeturninginfieldstarters.AllofourfreshmenhavecomefromsuccessfulhighschoolsortravelprogramsandwelooktobuildupontheirexperienceandskillsaswecontinuetocompetefortheAtlantic10Championship.

Last year’s offense saw improvements in batting average, home runs, slugging percentage and on-base percentage from 2008 to 2009. What do you expect from the offense line-up this season?Weareexcitedaboutthepotentialofthisyear’soffensiveline-up.Ourtoptwo-RBIproducers;SerenaandTenayaarebackandIthinkthatKeriPalmawilladdtotheRBIproductionforthisyear’steam.AsImentionedearlierwereturnfourofourtopfivepositionsintheorderwithWhitneyWilliamslookingtobetheleadoff,SerenaSmithinthe3hole,TenayaTuckerinclean-upandKeriPalmabehindher.LorenaVelaorKendraMcCallarepotentialnumbertwohitters.BriGwaltneyhadaverystrongfallandwelookforwardtothepowershecanbringtotheoffensethisyear.Asinyearspast,ouroffensewillfocusonusingtheirteamspeedtogetrunnersintoscoringposition.Ithinkouroffensewillbeexplosiveandveryconsistentthisyearwithmanyplayerssharingtheoffensiveburden.

Moving to the positions, behind the plate you return two players from last season. What do you expect from your catchers this year?ThecatchingwillbehandledbyTenayaTuckerandNatalynBlanton.Tenayahasbeenbe-hind theplate for twoyearsnowanddoesanexcellent job leading thedefenseand thepitchers.Sheisatirelessworkerbehindtheplate.Nathassteadilybeentransitioningtothecatcherposition.Wehaveseenvastimprovementinhercatchingskillsasshegetsstrongerandmorecomfortableinhernewpositioneachday.

Your outfield features some key returners from last season as well as some newcomers. How do you see this year’s outfielders shaping out?WhitneyWilliams,SerenaSmithandKendraMcCallareallfamiliarfacestothe49erout-field.SerenaandWhitneyhavebeenevery-daystarterssincetheyjoinedthe49erprogramandKendrahassteadilyputherselfinthestartinglinefor2010.Eachofthempossessesgreatspeedandawarenessintheoutfield.Serena,atrulygiftedathlete,willanchorcenterfield,whileWhitneycoversincrediblegroundintheoutfieldandKendrawhohasagoall-outat-titudeforwherevertheballis.Shewillbothplayleftandrightfield.CarolBuchanistheonlyotherreturningoutfielderandhasgreatlyimprovedheroutfieldskills.NikkiGayle,averyathleticandcoachablenewcomertotheoutfieldwillpushthestartingthreeeachday.

2009SeniorsCapofCareerCharlotte’sseniorclassfinishedtheircareerwitharecordof144-83,whichmadethemthemostsuccessfulseniorclassin49erhistory.Their144victoriesare16morethanthesecond-bestse-niorclass,whichcoincidentallyisthe2008class.ThecollectionofCeeBrooks,AlyssaKemmerer,SarahMalene, JennyRumblesand JaimeWesthadawinningseasoneveryyearoftheircareerfinishingwitha33-16recordin2009.

Two-TimeTournamentChampionsEarly in theseason,Charlottehostedapairofnon-conference tournaments; the Green andWhite Tournament and the First Pitch Clas-sic.TheNinersposteda4-1record inbothofthetournamentstoclaimthetophonorsintheearly-season tournaments. In the Green and

White Tournament, Charlotte defeated UNCGreensborointhechampionshipgame,3-1,towin the season’s first title. One week later, the49ers continued their tournament success bytaking down Towson, 3-2, in the finals of theFirstPitchClassic for their secondchampion-shipinasmanyweeks.JuniorpitcherEmilyJef-feryledtheNinersbyrecordingfourvictoriesintheninegames.

SameOldBrokenRecordOneseasonafterKatyHackettbrokethesingle-seasonmarkforstrikeoutswith176duringherfreshmancampaign,EmilyJefferyextendedtherecordby118punch-outsinthe‘09season.Jef-fery broke Hackett’s record on April 9 againstElon,whenshestruckout14Phoenixbatters.Theseniornowsitsat440careerstrikeoutsonly144 behind the career mark, which is held byKristenBowen.

HitsGaloreOutfielder Serena Smith continued her domi-natingwaysattheplatein2009witha.363bat-tingaverageincluding62hits,whichisthesev-enth-most inaseason.Four times lastseason,Smith recorded a five-game hitting streak orlonger,whichincludeda10-gamehittingstreakthat stretched from March 21 to April 4. Sheendedtheseasononafive-gamehittingstreak.

Double-DigitHitProductionThe2009seasonsawtheCharlotteoffensepro-duce 15 double-digit hit games with the highcomingagainstSaintFrancisonFebruary20.Inthatgame,theNinersregistered21basehits,aprogramrecord,with10different49ersrecord-ingahit.Overall,Charlottewas12-3 in thosegames, while outscoring its opponents by 49totalruns.

Steppin’ItUpfortheA-10When the season began on March 20 with a

doubleheaderagainstGeorgeWashington,sev-eral49erskickedtheirproductionintoahighergear.Eight49ersampedup theirbattingaver-agesduringconferencegameswhiletheoverallteamaveragejumpedfrom.272innon-confer-encegamesto.297inA-10games.SerenaSmithand Jenny Rumbles saw the biggest jumps intheir averages as Smith’s improved from .315to.444,whileRumbles’increasedfrom.279to.319.

Not only did the offense improve when thegames really counted, the pitching staff alsosteppedupitsgame.GinaAllen,EmilyJefferyand Katy Hackett all improved their ERA orstayed the same.Theoverall staffERAdippedfrom a 2.91 in non-conference to 1.72 againstthe A-10. Jeffery’s ERA dropped below one asthe junior held a 0.88 ERA for 18 conferencegames,whileHackettwonfiveofhersixconfer-encedecisions.

HomeRunBattlePowerhittersKeriPalmaandJaimeWestwereinabattleallseasonforthetitleformosthomeruns last year. Palma came out victorious byedging West by one home run, 5-4. The duoboth hit home runs in the final series of theseason against Dayton as Palma went deep intheseriesopener,whileWestcrushedoneintheseries finale. Palma also added home runs inback-to-backgames inadoubleheaderagainstUSCUpstate.Togoalongwiththeirhomerunpower, West led the team in doubles with 12,whilePalmawastiedfortheleadintriples.

CollegeathleticshasevolvedtothepointwheretotalphysicalpreparationisnecessarytobesuccessfulattheDivisionIlevel.UndertheguidanceofthestrengthandconditioningcoachRyanAtchisonwiththeassistanceofassistantstrengthandconditioningcoachesStacyHummerandMattParvisandgraduateas-sistantRichardBuford,theyoverseethestrengthandconditioningtrainingforthe49ers16sports. Atchisonisinhissecondyearasheadstrengthandconditioningcoach.Heisa1996graduateofSulRossStateUniversity,whereheearnedadegreeinBusinessAdministration.HeearnedaMaster’sDegreein

Physical Education from Hardin-Simmons Univer-sityin2001.Heservedasassistantstrengthandcon-ditioningcoachwiththeNBA’sHoustonRocketsfortwoandhalfyearsbeforecomingtoCharlotte.Priortothat,hespentfouryearsasassistantstrengthandconditioningcoachatRiceUniversity.HealsospentoneyearasassistantstrengthandconditioningcoachatLouisianaTechUniversity.HeisacertifiedstrengthandconditioningspecialistbytheCSCSaswellasacertifiedstrengthandcondi-tioningcoachbySCCC.HeisalsoUSAWcertified. Hummer returned to the 49ers in the spring of2008, after a previous six-year stint with Charlotte49ersAthletics.Shewasafour-yearletterwinnerfortheCharlotte49erswomen’ssoccerprogram(95-98).

Shewasatwo-timeteamcaptainandearnedAll-ConferenceUSAhonorstwice.ShewasamajorpartoftwoConferenceUSATournamentchampionships.Asasenior,shehelpedleadCharlottetotheirfirsteverappearanceintheNCAATournamentin1998.ShealsospentsevenyearsintheW-LeaguewhereshewonanationalchampionshipwiththeCharlotteEagles. SheisacertifiedstrengthandconditioningspecialistbytheNSCA,graduatedfromCharlottein1999withadegreeinHealthFitnessandKinesiology.In2001,shereceivedaMaster’sDegreeinHealthPromotionandExercisePhysiologyfromCharlotte. ParvisisinhissecondyearasassistantstrengthandconditioningcoachatCharlotte.Hedesignsandimplementsallaspectsofyearroundstrengthandconditioningprogramsforthewomen’sbasketball,base-ball,andmen’ssoccerprograms.BeforehisappointmentatCharlotte,hewasaminorleaguestrengthandconditioningcoachwiththePittsburghPiratesorganizationworkingwiththeBradentonPirates.HewasalsoastudentassistantfortwoyearsatWestVirginiaUniversityprimarilyworkingwithfootball,baseball,women’sgymnastics,andmen’sbasketball. HeearnedaBachelorofScienceinSportPsychologyin2003andaMasterofScienceinAthleticCoach-ingwithanemphasisinStrengthandConditioningin2007,bothfromWestVirginiaUniversity.HeisacertifiedStrengthandConditioningSpecialistbytheNationalStrengthandConditioningAssociation. BufordisinhisfirstseasonatCharlotte.BufordwasafouryearletterwinnerandgraduateatSaginawValleyStateUniversityinSaginaw,MI.HecompetedinFootballandTrack&FieldwhereheearnedGLIACConferenceChampionshipsinbothsportsandseveralindividualGLIACConferenceChampionshiptitles. UponearninghisBachelor’sofBusinessAdministrationinManagement,hestartedaSpeed,AgilityandQuicknesstrainingprogramalongwithanAAU/USATFTrack&Fieldteam.Bufordhasworkedwithath-

letes from Football, Basketball, Track & Field, Soft-ball,TennisandVolleyballthroughthisbusiness.HewillbeworkingdirectlywiththeMen’sandWomen’sTennisandBaseballteams.BufordisamemberoftheNSCAandalsoworkingtowardshisCSCScertifica-tion. The 49ers strength and conditioning programmakesuseoftheweighttrainingfacilityintheMilti-more-WallisAthleticsandAcademicTrainingCenter.TheAthleticsandAcademicTrainingCenterincludesa5,400-square-footweightroom.Itisequippedwithavarietyoffreeweightandsystematictrainingequip-ment.Theweighttrainingfacilityisexclusivelyused

bythe49ersathleticdepartmentanditsstudent-athletes.Theunlimitedaccessallowsthestrengthandcon-ditioningstafftheflexibilityinschedulingtimeinthefacilityassuringthatthestudent-athletesareabletomaximizetheirathleticdevelopment.

TheCharlotte49ersAthleticAcademicCenter(AAC)pridesitselfonacademicexcel-lence.HousedintheMiltimore-WallisAthleticsTrainingandAcademicCenter,thecenterisequippedwithDellcomputerterminals,studyhallfacilitiesandastockoftutors. The AAC is committed to assisting all student-athletes in achieving academic andpersonal successat theuniversity.Theofficeprovidessupport servicesdesigned tomeetstudent-athletes’uniqueneedsandensuresthattheyareincompliancewithalluniversity,Atlantic10,andNCAAacademicregulations.Theseservicesincludeorientation,studyhall,tutoring,grademonitoring,academicadvisingandregistrationassistance. LisaHibbs servesas theDirectorof theAAC.MarkVerburg servesasanAssistantDirectoroftheAACandLifeSkillsCoordinator,BeckyCavalierealsoservesasanAssistantDirectorandTutorCoordinator,andDonnaBialoskyistheAdministrativeAssistant.TheAACalsoemploysanarrayoftutorsthatareavailableforstudent-athletes. HibbsgraduatedfromAppalachianStatein1986withadegreeincommunications/publicrelationsandaminorinmarketing.Shethenreceivedhermaster’sinspeechcom-municationfromWakeForestin1987.AfterservingasassistantdirectorofadmissionsatCharlotteforfouryears,shebecametheathleticacademicdirectorinMarch,1993.SheismarriedtoCharlottebaseballcoachLorenHibbs;theyaretheparentsofLanie(9)andre-sideinUnionville. MarkVerburgisinhiseighthyearwiththe49ers’AthleticAcademicCenterafterserv-ing as the compliance and marketing intern with the Charlotte 49ers. Verburg earned amaster’sinsportmanagementfromGeorgiain2001.WhileatGeorgia,heassistedstudent-athletesintheAcademicAchievementCenter.Heearnedhisundergraduatedegreeinbusi-nessadministrationfromMissouriin1999.VerburgandhiswifeMelresideinConcordandareproudparentsofCarson(1). BeckyCavaliereisinherfourthyearwiththe49ersafterservingastheTutorCoordi-nator/AthleticAcademicCounselorforFootballatMemphisforfouryears.Shewasprevi-ouslyatVirginiaTechastheFreshmanFootballAdvisorandIndianaStateastheAssistantCoordinator for Academics. Cavaliere earned her master’s in social psychology of sportfromSouthernIllinoisin1998andherundergraduatedegreeinpsychologyfromAustinPeayin1996.CavaliereandherhusbandRichresideinCharlotte. Charlotte student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom during the 2008-2009year.TheDepartment’scumulativeGPAwas3.089afterthespring2009semester.Thisisthe3rdyearthattheAthleticDepartment’sCumulativeGPAreachedthe3.0mark.Italsomarksthe26thsemesterthattheAthleticGPAexceededtheuniversityGPA.Thirty-eightstudent-athleteshavegraduatedsinceAugust2008.Overall89%ofthestudent-athletesthat

haveexhaustedtheireligibilityatUNCCharlottesincespringof1993havegraduated.169student-athletesreceivedacademichon-orsinthefalland160receivedacademichonorsinthespring.Thirty–eightstudent-athleteswerenamedtotheChancellor’sListbyearningGPA’sof3.8orhigherforthefallsemesterand28student-athleteswerenamedtotheChancellor’sListforthespringsemester.Twenty-twostudent-athleteshadperfect4.0’sinthefalland17student-athleteshad4.0’sinthespring.Seventy-fivestu-dent-athleteswerenamedtothefall2008Atlantic10HonorRoll(3.5GPAforthesemester)and67student-athleteswerenamedtothespring2009Atlantic10HonorRoll. TheAACalsoadministerstheNCAA’sLifeSkillsprogramatCharlotte.Since1999,theLifeSkillsprogramhashelpedstudent-athletesbecomemorewellroundedindividuals.Student-athletesarerequiredtoattendseveraleventsperyearfromawidevarietyofareassuchasstudyskills,careerdevelopment,personaldevelopment,healthandwellness,drugandalcoholeducationandcom-munityservice.Throughnationallyacclaimedspeakers,seminarsspecificallytailoredforstudent-athletesandcampusworkshopsCharlottestudent-athletesgainknowledgeandexperiencesthatwillaidethemduringtheircollegeyearsandpreparethemforlifeafterathletics.
