Tasting Notes:
The 2010 Cabernet is dark in color with a bouquet consisting of blackberry, black raspberry, violets and mushrooms with a large amount of black currants as well. The wine is medium-bodied with great acidity—another great Naggiar wine to enjoy with family and friends. Serve it with grilled or sauced meat dishes.
Winemaker Impressions: Each year at Naggiar, we produce a Cabernet Sauvignon that is more delicate—but also more elegant and nuanced—than our brothers in Napa and Sonoma.
Vineyards: Originating on the backside of the our Estate, the fruit for this Cabernet Sauvignon was pulled and processed in 2010 from 3 separate blocks.
Winemaking: The fruit was extended pre and post maceration and fermented at cool temperatures. In the barrels for a total of 32 months with battonage of 7 months. Our philosophy with this Cabernet Sauvignon is minimal intervention.
