    49ers In The Postseason - The 49ers have made their tenth overall postseason tournament appearance and their ninth consecutive postseason tournament appearance. Charlotte is 10-9 all-time in postseason play and 10-7 all-time in the WNIT. For the third straight season an Atlantic 10 record eight teams earned postseason tournament bids with Xavier, Temple and Dayton making the NCAA Tournament. While, Charlotte, Duquesne, Richmond, St. Bonaven- ture and Saint Joseph’s earned WNIT bids. Charlotte had a 7-8 record against teams playing in the NCAA Tournament and the WNIT this season. The 49ers had a 5-4 record against teams in the WNIT this season. For the second consecutive year, the 49ers advanced to the second round of the WNIT after a 62-56 win over Liberty. For the first time in school history, the 49ers have advanced to the semifinals of the WNIT with a 79-74 win at Virginia.

    Wins In A Season - The 49ers have won 27 games which is a school-record for wins in a season. The previous school record for wins in a season was 24 which was set in 1989-90. Charlotte reached the 20-win plateau for the 12th time in school history.

    100 Assists Season - Kendria Holmes recorded seven assists at La Salle (February 16) to go over the 100 assists mark which marked the first time she has accomplished that feat as a Niner and the third time in her collegiate career. She has 146 assists which is the third highest single-season total in school history. Shannon McCallum (107 assists) and Epiphany Woodson (106 assists) both went over the century mark in assists against Florida. For the first time in school history the 49ers have three players with 100 assists in a season in the same year. With Holmes, McCallum and Woodson going over the 100 assists mark this season, Charlotte has now had 17 players in school history to record 100 assists in a season.

    1,517 Career Points - Against Virginia, Shannon McCallum became the fourth player in school history to score 1,500 career points. She currently has scored 1,517 career points. She just moved past Sakellie Daniels (2002-06) and Tonya Phifer (1998-01) into fourth place on the 49ers all-time scoring list. Of the 18 players in school history that have scored 1,000 career points, eight of them have played for the 49ers since the turn of the century.

    49ers At Home In The WNIT - The Charlotte-Florida WNIT game was the seventh WNIT game played in Halton Arena. The 49ers are 5-2 all-time in the WNIT at home with wins over James Madison (2006), High Point (2007), Gardner-Webb (2010), Liberty (2011) and Florida (2011).

    561 And Counting - The 49ers recorded the program’s 500th win with their 72-64 win over Davidson, December 9, 2008. Charlotte now has 561 wins in the program’s history. In the 36-year history of the program, the 49ers have moved to

    Division I and changed conferences four times. Seven coaches have led the team, starting with Judy Wilkins, now director of athletics Judy Rose through current coach Karen Aston.
