Morristown Partnership, a SpecialImprovement District (S.I.D.) and 501 (c)(3) non-proft organization, is staed bythree ull-time employees and is gov-erned by a 17-member Board o Trustees:15 SID commercial property/businessowners who are elected by the constitu-ency or three-year terms, and a mayoraland Town Council representative who areappointed. Approximately 45% o its 2010Budget is derived rom an assessmentimposed only on commercial proper-ties in the S.I.D. and the remainder rom
oundation and/or government grants,promotional participation, sponsorshipsor community events, and fnancial & in-kind donations. Morristown Partnershipis a member o: Association o Fundrais-ing Proessionals, Downtown New Jersey,Morris County Chamber o Commerce,and Morris County Tourism Bureau.

Development UpDate:Historic Downtown Morristown welcomed the opening o 40 Park, The Highlands at Mor-ristown Station/NJ Transit Village, The Metropolitan, and Vail Commons oering more th500 condos and rental units with over 80,000 square eet o retail space. In addition, mothan 1,500 parking spaces and 20,000 square eet o ofce space was also constructed.
JanUary:Here Comes the Bride Bridal Show was held at Hyatt Morristoshowcasing Morristown bridal-related businesses exclusively.This group show is a continuationo retail/services Bridal Businessinitiative created by Morristown
Partnership (MP) in mid-2009 and includes over 35 bridal-re-lated businesses located in the S.I.D. Among those, 25 createda Wedding Passport available at their place o business.Upon securing the services o fve Wedding Passport busi-nesses brides-to-be receive a $100 MP Git Certifcate and areeligible to win a Grand Prize.
Beneactor Reception held at and sponsored by Hyatt Morris-town, in honor o Morristown Partnerships outstanding Com-munity and Business Event Sponsors, distinguished fnancialsupporters including grantors and private donors, Town andCounty ofcials and event volunteers. This annual and complimentary event is purely soand an eective networking opportunity.

april:First ever Downtown Morristown Restaurant Week event was heldthanks to Presenting Sponsorship support received rom TD Bank amedia partner The Star Ledger. 39 Participants were recruited incluing restaurants, caes/delis, grocery stores & wine shops. Alongside
their regular menu, restaurants were required to oer a prix-fxedinner menu not to exceed $30 per person, excluding alcohol, tax gratuity; others oered special promotions and discounts. Market-ing campaign included event window decals, in-kind Ads with prinmedia, billboard Ads placed in NJ Transit Stations in Bernardsville,Madison, Morristown, and Summit. 5,000 pocket-sized RestaurantGuides were created & distributed to participating restaurants, arehotels, and Morris County Tourism Bureau. Feedback received romsome participating restaurants: Nestor Bedoya o Tim SchafersCuisine said this is the best thing the Morristown Partnership hasever done. Farmers & Communities, and the Mor-ristown Parking Authority. Over 1,000visitors rom throughout Morris Countyand beyond attend the Farmers Marketevery Sunday. Market season was extendedthree weeks this year due to demand and overall markets success. A new collaboration was
ormed with the Morristown Community Soup Kitchen(CSK) early in the Market season in which Farmers Mar-ket surplus produce and baked goods are generouslydonated by fve arm vendors and our baker to CSK atMarket closing hour every Sunday. Oering Farm-to-Table produce and goods, CSK guests are now able toselect and beneft rom resh Market produce to take
home to their amilies every week.)
JUly:In conjunction with S.C.O.R.E., Counselors to Ameri-cas Small Business, ree workshops oered to businessowners on social media entitled, Social Media The New Marketing Frontier. Participating
businesses learned how best to utilize outlets such as Facebook and Twitter to promotetheir businesses.
2nd annual Morristown Workplace Blood Drive. Alongside Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.,Morristown Partnership collaborated with Mor-ristown Memorial Hospital (MMH), Morris County
Chamber o Commerce, Hyatt Morristown, Countyo Morris, Morristown This Week, and Town oMorristown in soliciting blood donations rompeople working in Morristown to directly beneftMMHs Blood Bank during summer months whenblood donation is at its most needed. Thanks to 98individuals and 88 donors a 31% increase in bloodwas collected over the 2009 Workplace Blood Drive.Wells Fargo Advisors, Morristown, and Mack-Cali,Morris County were recognized or their outstanding corporate and individual contributionsat Blood Drives Luncheon.

Thanks to the support o 18 event sponsors about 50,000 visitorsenjoyed downtown Morristown on October 3rd. Over 130 exhibitors many Morristownbusinesses including 20 restaurants, and Morris County non-proft and civic organi-zations were on site to interact with Festival visitors. Local live entertainment wasoered on our venues as well as ree childrens rides, and many special and uniquevenues. The Morristown Partnership, Morristown Parking Authority and the Trustees o Morristown Green und and oversee the Downtown Watch Patrol (DWP) prograDWP is a collaborative security initiative created in the summer o 2008 enablithe Morristown Police Department, on an on-going basis since, to hire, train, aassign unarmed Class I Special Ofcers on oot-patrol in the downtown businesdistrict during business hours weekly to improve the perception o security in t
downtown.Retail Recruitment: To enhance its eorts to recruit new businesses to Morristown, thePartnership retained the services o DANTH, Associates to develop a comprehensive demgraphical analysis o Morristowns trade area as well as a strategic plan to recruit and reexisting businesses.
