Through Internet Safety Education Programs, children did NOT fall prey to predatorsbecause they learned how to keep themselves safe on-line.

Because of the Protective Behaviors program, children were NOT harmed

by strangers or people they knew because they were empowered to keep themselves safe and healthy.

Even in these very challenging economic times, funding to Ozaukee Family Services didNOT fall short of local needs …no one was put on a waiting list or turned away because of lack of funding. Investing in prevention services for Children and Families is both effective (1) and efficient (2).

1. Outcomes results90% of 95 seniors served were able to continue living independently because of our services.92% of 133 counseling clients made progress towards the goals set at the beginning of counseling.94% of 120 Parents As Teachers families feel less stress because they know about theirchild’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development, as well as positive activities thatwill help their children meet their full potential. 89% of 44 kids who participated in Rainbows felt better about the changes in their family.97% of 182 parents who participated in Beyond Divorce know how to help their childthrough the changes in their family. 90% of 6,909 children who participated in Internet Safety and Protective Behaviors programsknow how to keep themselves safe from strangers, child abuse or Internet predators.

2. Making sure that negative things do NOT happen (PREVENTION) is less costlythan providing services after the fact (INTERVENTION).

What DID happen this year is that a caring community supported Ozaukee Family Services… and Ozaukee Family Services helped improve the lives of 8,192 individuals – and thepeople who love them.
