Mentorship Program to both (1) support increased Admissions yield objectives and (2) help build the student community between the Classes of 2009 and 2010

Leverage the tremendous energy in the student body to build upon the “Pack Your Haas” efforts, which encourage current students to reach out to admitted students and alumni in cities throughout the world during Spring Break

Continue to host a thread on the Business Week online message board to increase Haas’ presence on the internet

Monitor and contribute to the Class of 2010 New Student Google Group, serving as the first point of contact for many newly admitted students

Work closely with fellow MBAA officers, including but not limited to the VP Diversity and VP International, to further reach out to select groups within the MBA applicant pool

Develop a strong working relationship with the Admissions Office and the HSA Team, who will be your partners in the effort to build the Haas brand

Get to know your classmates!!! They will be THE BEST resource for you as you get inquiries from prospective and newly admitted students!

Organized and administered “Student Life” survey and “Case Competition” survey to gauge student preferences and have concrete evidence of “leading through innovation” in case comp and business plan wins.

Currently working with task force to recommend candidates for 2008 commencement speaker

Supported testing of Outlook calendaring for Exchange server migration.

Examined calendaring options and participated in IT focus groups to voice student concerns (improving and integrating calendaring currently a slow-moving process)

Sign-Up/Nominations Period (October 22nd – October 28th ) MBAA Information Session on Monday, October 22nd in Room C210 from 7:30 – 8:30am. Come

and learn about each position from the current elected officials. Refreshments on us. Sign-up at table in Haas Courtyard (12:30 – 2PM) October 22nd – 26th or send an email to Emily

Walling ([email protected]) and cc: the Officer who currently holds the position for which you would like to run (see list at end of deck).

The table will be staffed by different MBAA members each day. Feel free to take that time to speak with them about their positions or contact them anytime by email.

Candidates must be MBAA members. Verbal campaigning is allowed. Signage, fliers or other forms of financed campaigning is NOT ALLOWED. Use discretion; email Cliff Dank ([email protected]) with any questions.

2007 MBAA OfficersPresident: Cliff Dank Responsibilities:• Coordinate Team of MBAA officers; working closely with each officer to help drive change, as well as ensure overarching team-wide goals • Represent full-time MBA students’ needs and concerns to the school’s administration • Regularly interface with members of the larger Haas community - including alumni, prospective students and the student leaders of the EWMBA, MFE, BCEMBA and Undergrad programs – and the community at large • Serve as Haas student Representative on several committees, including The Academic Common Committee in charge of the coordination of the new building with the Boalt School of Law, the MBA Program committee & Life Long Connection Committee • Identify and execute personal initiatives

VP Academics: Sandra SchraufResponsibilities: • Serving as a liaison between students and MBA program office on academic issues.• Serving as student representative on the MBA Curriculum committee• Running the student faculty lunch program• Collecting student feedback on electives, providing feedback and best practices to core faculty.
