Howa M-1500 rifles are built right, starting with a forged steel receiver with its flat bottom and integral recoil lug. Barrels are hammer-forged for precision rifling. The bolt is a one-piece forging with two large locking lugs for maximum strength and a powerful M-16-style extractor. The bolt face completely surrounds the cartridge head for safety.

The fully adjustable Howa trigger is famous for consistent, crisp let-off. A lightweight hinged floor-plate opens at the touch of a button. All models are drilled and tapped for standard scope bases and come with solid rubber butt pads and sling swivel studs.

You can have your Howa in Blued or Stainless Steel, short or long action, with a choice of standard or heavy barrels. Hunter Models sport genuine American black walnut stocks with checkered grip and forearm panels protected by a weather-resistant low-gloss finish. Lightning models have a polymer stock with a molded cheek piece, comfortable forearm, palm swell , free floated barrel channel, and modern checkering. The wide choice of factory chamberings range from flat-shooting varmint calibers including the NEW for 2006 .204 Ruger to potent magnums including .300 WSM, .270 WSM, and 7mm WSM.

"You have no idea how your gun saved my bacon. We were driving out after the A.M. hunt across several pastures. We were filming a morning wrap up in the truck and my camera man noticed a big buck chasing 2 does across a field. I bailed out and we got set up in the field in 10 seconds. The other guys in the truck were also now out and yelling at the buck to stop. The does finally stopped and the buck hit the brakes. I fired at 310 yards the first time. The deer all ran off and then the does went over a small hill. The buck appeared hurt and stopped at the top of the hill at 422 yards. It looked like an ant on an anthill. I pulled the trigger and he flopped over. Both shots were within 1.5 inches and right in the smoke house."

VARMINTM1500 “+” 3 Position Safety

Howa Varmint and Varminter Supreme rifles take performance to new heights. Built around the proven M-1500 action, these rifles have 24-inch hammer-forged bull barrels with recessed muzzle crown in either non-glare blue or matte stainless steel. The M-1500’s acclaimed trigger adjusts for sear engagement and weight of pull. A three-position safety allows safe single-loading and secure bolt lock-down. Recoil pads and swivel studs are standard.

The Varmint Hunter stock is American Black Walnut, with checkered panels on pistol grip and forend. The Varmint Lightning sports a black polymer stock with molded cheek piece, comfortable forearm, palm swell, free floated barrel channel, and modern checkering. A camo Realtree dipped stock is available for Varmint models.

The Varminter Supreme stock is designed with a raised comb and rollover cheekpiece, a full pistol-grip with palm-filling swell, a broad beavertail forend and 12 longitudinal slots milled into each stock for barrel cooling.

The Thumbhole Varminter adds a high, straight comb and a more vertical pistol grip that’s ideal for shooting off a bench or rest. For hunting, pest control, or match competition, you can’t go wrong choosing a Howa M-1500 Varmint or Varminter Supreme rifle. Endurance, aesthetics, and functionality at value prices, Pointer over and under shotguns are now being imported by Legacy. At the beginning of 2006, Pointer will offer a 12 ga. Model, followed by a 20 gauge model thereafter. The gun is supplied with a Kickeez butt pad, Truglo sight, extractors, barrel selector, floral engraving on electorless nickel receiver, and gold trigger. The barrels are drilled and later internally smoothed through a special reaming process, polished and hard chromed to resist corrosion and residual wear

and tear. The barrels are black chrome plated that is 10 times the corrosion resistance than bluing. The stocks are made of Turkish Walnut and offer maximum handling and ease of swing. The Pointer Shotgun comes with FIVE choke tubes including full, improved modified, modified, improved cylinder, and skeet. The Pointer over/under shotgun provides “Unlimited Shooting Pleasure” for a matchless price.
