The mission of Impak is to bring positive

change by connecting individuals to

Pakistan through meaningful

opportunities and experiences.

On October 8, 2005, magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck South Asia, leaving over 75,000 dead and hundreds of

thousands injured and homeless. Pakistan-administered Kashmir suffered the most damage.

Impak responded with the 2006 Quake Relief Summer Program.

Fourteen participants from the US, UK and Canada were selected to try and make a difference in the region in the

areas of health, education and infrastructure.

This is their story.

Concern for Children (CFC)Mission: Design, implement and replicate models for sustainable development for children within at-risk populations based on intensive needs assessment.

QRSP Project:Project Kitab aims to motivate the community into self-help and to promote responsibility and rigor in administration and teaching. Participants will work with primary school children in the villages of Chikkar and Bandi Chakkan and create programs for their social and educational development.
