January 2005 to 3l December 2005. During this period, you were selected as Sector Buffalo'sEnlisted Person of the Year (EPOY) and subsequently nominated to compete for the Ninth Coast
Guard District EPOY. As Sector Bufflalo's EPOY nominec, you were included in a select oadre
of high caliber members that represent the very best and dedicated talent stationed in the NinthDistrict. Your individual performance over this past year is especially noteworthy and you have
more than exemplified the Coast Guard's core values of Honor, Respecg and Devotion to Duty.
While assigned light duty and unable to stand boatcrew watches, your demonshated a strong
desire to rework and improve routine, everyday tasks at Station Fairport. Your determination and
drive to increase unit efficiencies confirms your personal and professional level of commihrentto both your shipmates and your unit. You have worked both on and off dufy with the Spirit ofYouth boating education program and the "Young Marines", coordinating and leading tours ofthe station, providing water safety tips, and supporting underway experiences onboard the unit's47' Motor Life Boat (MLB). Your professional efforts in public affairs, search and rescue,
training, or law enforcement operations, along with your personal dedication often are the hidden
ingredients behind your unit's successful mission complotion. By your dedicated performance,
you have set yourselfapart from your peers and have upheld a standard ofprofessionalism and
excellence throughout Sector Buffalo.
2. You are commended for you outstanding performance of duty. By your meritorious service
you have upheld the highest traditions of the United States Coast Guard.
